Autumn
Fall is my favorite time of year — given my name, Autumn, it almost has to be. My sisters and I moved to this charming mountain town a few months ago, finally turning our dream of owning a bakery into reality. With a town festival nearly every month, our new pastry food truck has been a huge success.
I’m eager to see how people respond to our new pumpkin spice turnovers, but my excitement fades now that I’ve caught the eye of a charming stranger who I’m sure is only in town for the Mountain Man Challenge.
When he asks me for a kiss before every event to be his good luck charm, I agree, knowing it’s harmless since he’ll be gone after the festival.

Autumn thinks I’m just some drifter in town for the prize money from the Mountain Man Challenge Festival. Little does she know, I’m the new investor in the Mountain Man Sanctuary for wounded Veterans that Bay and Jessa Blackwood plan to open.
I’ve been in town for a couple of months, surveying the site and overseeing the construction of the cabins and community center for the sanctuary. I’ve been watching from the shadows as Autumn dances and flirts with all the local mountain men at various town events. The only thing stopping me from claiming her sooner is her lack of enthusiasm for those mountain men.
