“Don’t I know it.”
The rest of the afternoon unfolds the same way, as I keep finishing second to either Bay or Brooks each round. Just like every round, Autumn is there giving me my good luck kiss. Until the final round, when I decide to go all in and lay my cards on the table one last time

“S
o, are you andRidge a couple now?” Junie asks, while Jessa sits back with a smile and places a hand on her stomach.
I don’t want to explain to my sister that today isn’t real, it’s just a little flirtation—a flirtation that has me so worked up, my panties have been soaked all day.
I wonder how fast I could get a vibrator delivered if I ordered it online.
I’ve never needed one before. My fingers do the job just fine. But after feeling Ridge’s cock pressed against me, I really need something other than my fingers to get me off.
“Jessa’s pregnant.” I blurt out, trying to deflect the conversation by taking a wild guess at the way Jessa is caressing her stomach.
“Oh my gosh, Jessa! Is she right? Are you pregnant?” Junie turns her attention to Jessa.
With a pleading look at Jessa, I wait for her answer.
“I was going to tell you guys later today, after the competition, but yes, I’m pregnant.”
Junie squeals and throws her arms around Jessa. “I’m so happy for you!”
Using the distraction to my advantage, I slip behind the bleachers to gather my thoughts.
“What are you doing behind here, Buttercup?”
“I could ask you the same question, Dimples? Shouldn’t you be getting ready for the final event?”
“Oh, I’m ready. I just came to get my good luck kiss and to sweeten the deal a little." He slips his arms around me, pulling me close. I wrap my arms around his neck as if it’s the most natural thing in the world. “Let’s raise the stakes. Not only do I get a good luck kiss, but if I win the whole competition, you come home with me and spend the night.”
By the hungry look in his eyes, I don’t have to ask what he wants to do with me when we get to his cabin.
Do I really want that? He’s just a drifter—he’ll be gone in the morning.
The real question I need to ask myself is, can I walk away from him right now without knowing his touch and how he would feel inside of me?
“You’re in second place--you have to win the final round,” I say instead of answering him, because that’s what I do. I deflect.
“Don’t you worry your pretty little head over that, Autumn. I have the perfect incentive to win.” He gives me a quick peck on the lips.
“Oh, so you do know my name.” I toy with the hair on the back of his neck with my fingers. Not only does he have the five o’clock shadow I love, but he also has thick hair long enough in the back for me to run my fingers through. Who knew I would enjoy doing something so simple?
“There’s a lot I know about you, Buttercup." His wicked smile heats my body more than it already is. “Now about our wager.”
This is crazy. He’s only in town for one day. But if I don’t do this, I might regret it for the rest of my life. It’s not like Mr. Right is knocking down my door. Plus, I’m getting older, and even if I find a husband, I’m sure he won’t be a virgin — why should I be one? I bite my lip, letting my thoughts battle with each other.
“Okay.” I exhale slowly. “I accept your bet. If you win the whole Mountain Man Challenge, I’ll go back to your cabin and spend the night.”
“And what exactly are we going to be doing all night?” He smirks.
Needing to wipe that smug look off his face, I lean in and press my lips to his ear, “We’re going to fuck all night long.” A shiver runs through him, and I know I’ve achieved my goal.
“Damn straight.” His lips crash down on mine as he kisses me breathless.
