My sister rolls her eyes. She’s not the biggest fan of Giada, mainly because she is best friends with our sister. Natalia and Allegra are chalk and cheese and there is no love lost between the two of them. “Can you hurry her up? People are starting to talk about her and not in a good way.”

What does that mean? I frown at my sister, who rolls her eyes again.

“People think she’s not going to show up because she’s doing a runner.”

They think what?

“Why the hell would they think that?” I ask her.

“Because she’s an hour late.” She shrugs.

“Fine, I’ll go find her. This is ridiculous, it’s fuckingVogue, she’s just getting the right photos,” I grumble to myself as I put my empty champagne glass down on a passing waiter’s tray and grab a new one as I storm off to find my fiancée.

“Just trying to help,” Natalia calls out after me.

As I make my way across the elaborate ballroom, I’m stopped to chat with well-wishers but quickly excuse myself by letting them know I’m on a mission to hurry up my fiancée, which eventually stops them from continuing their conversations. I take one of the back ways to get to Giada’s apartment where she is getting ready. I nod and smile at the dozens of staff rushing back and forth along the corridors.

I head up a flight of stairs away from the pandemonium and make my way to her room. I don’t even knock, she won’t hear it anyway with all the people who usually help her get ready. AsI walk in, I hear moaning coming from her room.Is she okay? Has she hurt herself?

I round the corner and still when I notice someone is kneeling between my fiancée’s legs, underneath her ballgown, making her moan. Giada’s head is thrown back in ecstasy as she thrashes around against the bed and comes loudly, something that she doesn’t do with me. Not that we have sex all that often, as we are so busy. But I’ve never seen her so animated before. What the hell are they doing that I’m not?

Seconds later, she notices me standing there and screams.

“Gio, fuck.” She clutches her chest, her dark eyes wide with surprise, her cheeks pink from her orgasm. “It’s not what you think,” she quickly adds as the person slowly emerges from between my fiancée’s thighs.

My face falls when I realize who it is.

GIORGIO

“Allegra?”

“It’s not what you think,” Giada quickly states as my sister fully reveals herself.

Shaking my head, I take a step back, trying to process the fact that my fiancée is cheating on me during our engagement party. With my own fucking sister.

“Gio, I’m so sorry. You weren’t meant to find out like this?” Allegra tells me.

“How could you do this to me, both of you?” I roar, which has them both slinking back.

“I’m sorry,” my sister mumbles as tears well in her eyes.

“It was my fault. I was nervous afterVogueand then I looked downstairs at the party and saw how many people were there and I had a panic attack and Allegra came to my rescue,” my fiancée explains.

“By making you come?”

Allegra looks down at the floor and Giada doesn’t answer my question because it’s a bullshit excuse.

“How long has this been going on?” I question them.

“Four months,” Giada answers.

“First time,” Allegra adds at the same time.

“Four months?” They have been fooling around the entire time we’ve been together.

She nods in agreement as my attention turns to my sister who blatantly lied to me.
