"There is a point that you should tell her, but I do agree that now might not be the right time," Antonio explained.

Ezra glared at him again and Sofia couldn't help but giggle. They seemed like great friends, and she loved the little banter and glares they gave each other.

"For me, there isn't anyone right now," Antonio said.

"Bullshit," Ezra said. "And you know it. You told her about my girl, well more about her. If you don't say anything more, I'll tell her."

"Fine," Antonio let out a huge fake sigh. "I have my eye on someone right now-"

"For a while he has had his eye on this person."

Antonio glared at him. "But I haven't done anything yet."

"Why not?" she asked.

"Well, I'm not certain I'm the right person for her."

She could tell from his body language that he didn't want to talk about it anymore, and she didn't want to pressure him or make him feel uncomfortable. Sofia hoped that Antonio would find happiness soon, with that person or another person.

"Let's go feed you," Daddy said as he stood up. She snuggled into his embrace and let him take over.

CHAPTER FORTY

SOFIA

It had been hard to get her Daddy to agree to her working the rest of her shifts at the club. He hadn’t wanted her to, but she had begged him to let her. She was going to go crazy if he kept her locked up in his office while he worked.

He had told her that it was unsafe until they knew who the person was. She understood his worries, but it wasn’t like no one was watching over her. There were several Doms there and Ezra was there as well. She was totally safe.

Ezra had made good on his promise and had been walking around the club, watching her but also the other people in the room. No one knew about the situation, and no one batted an eyelash at Ezra. It was like they didn’t even see him walking around.

It relieved her because she didn’t want to make anyone uncomfortable while she was working. Since Ezra had to be down there, it would technically be her fault if someone was uncomfortable.

He had come up to her several times asking her if she was alright and each time her answer was the same. She was okay.No one had said anything, and she hadn’t received any notes from anyone her whole shift.

Lucy wasn’t scheduled for tonight and she was relieved. She hadn’t heard anything from Antonio to know if it was her or not. Sofia was relieved that she wasn’t here, if it was even her.

She hoped it wasn’t, but her gut was telling her that it was Lucy all along. Her hateful looks and mean comments towards her and no one else. Sofia was the only foreigner working there and it made her think that Lucy didn’t like foreigners.

“I’m going to go grab my stuff and clock out,” Sofia said to Ezra.

“I’ll come with you,” he said.

“That’s not necessary. It’s just right around the corner. I’ll be back before you know it.”

As much as she was okay with Ezra being around her since he was her bodyguard, following her to grab her purse was unnecessary.

He looked uncertain but nodded his head. “Right there and back.”

“Yes, Sir,” she mock saluted him and giggled.

“Brat.”

She skipped off to the employees room, feeling great. She was starting to feel herself again.

“Oh happy day. Happy day,” she slowly started to sing to herself. “It’s gonna be a good rest of the day. Spending it with my Daddy. Being bratty.”

Sofia had been on thin ice around her Daddy. She had back talked one or two times to him before she went off to work and she left her water bottle in his office.
