"She was hoping that you would fire me one time and said 'good riddance' after."
Daddy growled and she looked at him.
"She probably didn't mean it," She softly said, trying to make things better. "At first, I thought it could be because Lucy wasn't getting as many shifts as she wanted and that I was taking them from her. It could still be that way and I thought about talking to you about that. I don't want to take anyone's shifts just because you hired me."
"She hasn't gotten any shifts taken away. Her schedule is like it was before you came," Daddy said.
She furrowed her eyebrows. Then why would Lucy say those things?
"Well, then she probably doesn't like new people," she tried to justify it. "I'll grow on her at some point."
"I'll look into her next," Antonio said. "See what I can find out about her."
Sofia started to worry when he said that. What if it was her all along? But what if it wasn't? Sofia didn't want to get anyone in trouble.
"Leave the worrying to me," Antonio said. "I know that face all too well and I don't want you to worry about anything."
She chuckled and shook her head. "Easier said than done," she mumbled.
All three men laughed, and she snuggled into her Daddy's embrace. She hadn't meant to make them laugh, but she was glad she did. They needed a laugh in a time like this.
"Such big problems for a Little girl," Daddy said. "Let Daddy, Antonio, and Ezra worry about that."
It was a tall order for her to not worry about the person coming after her. How could she not worry about it? It was her life on the line and not theirs. That person had threatened her, not them.
How was she not supposed to worry about that? It was all she could think about right now. All she had thought about for the past day. No matter what she was doing, it was in the back of her mind.
Sofia looked over at Ezra and Antonio and she wanted to ask them questions. They were Daddies and she wanted to know if they had any Littles of their own or if they were all alone. Both of them were caring and protective which made her think they had someone in their life.
"Go ahead," Ezra said. "I can see that you're dying to ask us questions."
She blushed and nodded her head. She did have something to ask, and he had just given her permission.
"Go ahead. I'll answer them if I can or want to," Antonio said. "Not everything is okay for Little girls to hear."
She wondered what he could be talking about. What could she possibly not be able to hear?
"Do you have a Little of your own?" She softly asked.
She hoped that the question was okay to ask. She didn't want to make them feel uncomfortable or bring up something they didn't want to remember, but she was curious and wanted to know.
"It's okay if you don't want to answer," she whispered. "I'm just curious."
"Curiosity killed the cat," Antonio said. "But satisfaction brought him back. Your question wasn't bad and both of us will be happy to answer it."
Sofia looked back and forth between them, waiting for them to answer. Who would answer first?
"I'm talking to someone right now," Ezra started to speak. "But I'm taking it slow with her. She's a new Little and she doesn't know for certain if she is one."
"But he definitely thinks she is, and I would agree with him. She is just very unsure about a lot of things," Antonio said and Ezra glared at him. "What? You can't tell me that I'm wrong."
Ezra sighed and nodded his head. "She is very unsure about a lot of things, and this is one of them. She knows me and knows that I'm a Daddy. She wanted to see if she would like it or not, if it felt right. I'm hoping she realizes that she is Little and wants me to be her Daddy."
"Why don't you just tell her that?" Sofia asked.
It seemed simple and she didn't know why he wouldn't just bring that up to her.
"Because I don't want to pressure her into anything," Ezra said. "That wouldn't be right."
