It never occurred to Brie that a person’s finances could have any bearing on a Dominant’s fitness to lead. Thinking back on it, she realized that every Dom she worked with at the Submissive Training Center was fiscally responsible. It had nothing to do with how much money they made—only that they were good stewards of the income they brought in. If a Dominant could not be trusted with money, Brie knew it would be difficult for a submissive to trust them in other areas as well.
Master Nosh joined the conversation. He was staring at his wife while she explained to Hope that Nenove meant “my home” and that Master Nosh’s name Ese’he meant “the Sun”.
“Nenove never tires of teaching,” he stated with warmth in his voice.
“I admire her passion for the Cheyenne language,” Brie told him.
Master Nosh nodded. It was obvious to Brie that he was extremely proud of his wife.
Turning to Lea, Master Nosh stated somberly, “I have stated on numerous occasions that Hunter is the best student I have ever trained.”
Lea nodded, bowing to the head trainer respectfully.
Brie held her breath, wondering what Master Nosh would say next.
A slight smile played across the head trainer’s lips when he told Lea, “I also had the privilege of workingdirectly with you when you were part of my staff. Your impeccable training is a testament to Sir Davis, but it is your compassionate spirit and open heart that make you an exceptional submissive. I cannot think of a better pairing.”
“Thank you, Master Nosh,” Lea gushed, bowing low.
Brie could not imagine a higher compliment coming from the seasoned trainer.
Master Nosh held out his hand to Hunter. “May the blessing that you are to each other be an encouragement to the many who cross your path in the years to come.”
Hunter shook his hand firmly. “I appreciate every lesson and correction you have given me, Master Nosh.” Glancing at Lea, he added, “I plan to lead based on the firm foundation you have instilled in me.”
Brie noticed that Sir was looking at Master Nosh with an expression of gratitude and veneration.
She realized that each of them was indebted to Master Nosh. Without his dedication and insight as head trainer of the Dominant course, the four of them wouldn’t be here right now, and her children would not exist.
Brie fought the urge to fall to her knees and kneel before Master Nosh out of profound gratitude. Instead of bowing, she made a silent vow to find a meaningful way to honor the esteemed trainer and his submissive.
Pirates
The next morning, Brie stood on the Lido Deck by the rail with Lea and Hope and marveled at the dolphins. The playful creatures were jumping and chattering loudly as they rode the waves caused by the wake of the ship.
It was truly magical and had Hope laughing gleefully.
Brie tilted her head up and closed her eyes to bask in the warmth of the sun while the sea breeze teased her long hair. “I can’t believe it’s such a beautiful day.”
Lea bumped shoulders with her. “Well, I can. The best kind of weather always comes with a light Brieeee-zz.”
Brie shook her head in amusement. “You’re such a goofball.”
“I’m being serious,” Lea said, grinning back at her. “Today wouldn’t be as perfect if you weren’t here with me.”
Giving her a tight squeeze, Brie stared at her friend’s shiny new collar and asked, “How does it feel to officiallybe Hunter’s submissive?”
Caressing the gold band, Lea surprised Brie when her tone turned serious. “I didn’t realize it until last night…even though Hunter and I have been together for a while and our chemistry is off the charts, but…I don’t think I ever really felt safe.”
Brie frowned. “What do you mean?”
“After having my heart broken by Samantha and surviving what happened with Liam and his twin brother, I didn’t really trust things would work out for us—especially because it felt so wonderful. I think I’ve been waiting to be hurt again.”
Brie looked at her with sympathy. “That’s so sad, Lea.”
“I had no idea how much I was holding back until last night when I was laying in Hunter’s arms. Out of nowhere, I just started to bawl and couldn’t get myself to stop.” Looking at Brie with tearful eyes, she confessed, “He actually thought I was having second thoughts.”
“Poor Hunter!” Brie exclaimed.
