“But I want some fresh air! Why can’t I go out?!” I argued, unable to hide my apparent irritation. That’s when he slowly walked toward me.

“Celine, I am just caring for you. You are not yet-”

“I am healed! Damn it. Why are you treating me like a baby?” I snapped.

He immediately shook his head. I hissed and was about to walk out on him, but he immediately grabbed my arm and pulled me to him. My mouth parted in shock. He was so strong that I almost lost balance when he pulled me back and fell on him. But what shocked me more was when I felt his soft lips on mine.

Holy fuck!

Chapter Forty-Six

My eyes widened in shock. I felt my body tremble when our lips touched. I could feel that he was stunned too! Fuck. I didn’t know for how long we were in that position. I blinked multiple times and was about to pull away from the kiss when he cupped my face and deepened the kiss. I gasped hard, making my lips part. But he took that chance to enter my mouth with his tongue.

Shit. My eyes went even wider as he savored my mouth. At first, I couldn’t respond, but it was as if his kisses were hypnotizing me. The next thing I knew, we were already passionately kissing each other deeply. I feel like I had lost the concept of space and time as we kissed. His body felt so hot against my skin. It was like I was a moth that was drowned by his flame. I lost my mind as he ignited the fire within me.

I let his tongue explore my mouth’s deepest secret, unable to stop myself from the flame of pleasure slowly taking over my whole system. He sensually caressed my waist before flipping our position.

He’s now on top of me, dominating my body as he continues to suck on my lip. Damn it. We were in the living room, for fuck’s sake! Anyone could come in and see us in this position! But hell, it seemed like my logical part had already departed because my body wouldn’t stop responding to his kisses. Shit.

My wolf whimpered. I could feel that he was loving this. Damn it. I love this, too! I wanted more of him. Just kissing him doesn’t seem to quench the surge of desire within me.

I encircled my hands around his neck and pulled him closer to me so I could kiss him more. Shit. My body felt so hot like it was on fire. I felt like I was electrocuted whenever he rubbed himself on me. Shit. I arched my neck when his lips traveled from my lips down to my jaw and now on my neck. He sucked and licked, which made my body tremble in pleasure.

“Ahh!” I moaned and closed my eyes tightly.

Oh god!

“Fuck it…you taste so good,” he groaned.

“Hmm,” I moaned as he continued to lap my neck, probably leaving a mark or two. I didn’t care. I was too delirious with the pleasure that I was feeling.

“I hate to disturb the two of you. I swear,” I felt like a bucket of ice was poured on us when I heard that voice. I immediately pushed Lucas away and quickly sat down. Shit!

“Alpha, you’re needed in the field,” Beta Darius’ voice echoed in the living room, making my whole body freeze in total embarrassment.

Shit. I cannot believe this is happening! This is freaking embarrassing!

My face blushed in shame as I lowered my head, averting Beta Darius' knowing eyes.

I heard someone clearing their throat.

“I will follow, Darius,” Lucas said before walking toward me so he could help me stand. I kept my head down as Lucas was holding me on the waist. I felt so flushed that I didn’t know if I could recover from this humiliation! Shit!

Someone kill me right now.

“Oh, okay. I’ll go now. So, uhm, you two…enjoy,” I heard the Beta say, obviously teasing us.

“Darius, get the fuck out,” Lucas’ dangerous voice thundered. It was followed by Darius’ laugh.

“Alright! Alright, I won’t disturb you anymore. Just make sure to follow Alpha. They’re waiting. Enjoy, love birds!” I heard his footsteps away as he laughed again. I swear, I probably look like a crushed tomato right now! Damn it!

“Let’s go. I’ll just accompany you to your room first before I head to the meeting,” he whispered as he slowly assisted me back to my room. I didn’t say a thing. I just kept my head down the whole time. When we went inside, he gently tucked me onto the bed. I still didn’t say anything and still kept my eyes down. I couldn’t afford to meet his gaze right now.

Who would even have the guts to face him after what happened!

I stayed still until I heard the fading sound of his footsteps. After a few minutes, I listened to the door shutting down. That’s when I was able to breathe properly.

The memories of what happened earlier suddenly crashed through my mind like a wave of a tsunami. I couldn’t escape from it even if I wanted to. What’s worse is that Beta Darius even witnessed Lucas and me, who were basically making out!
