I buried my face in the pillow as I tried to brush off the humiliation that I was feeling. There, I screamed all my frustration and embarrassment from what happened. Shit. I think I could no longer have the guts to even go out! Shit, I cannot believe this! What has gotten into me that I let that happen, huh?! Celine, what the hell?! Are you so thirsty for him that you even responded to his kisses?
Just… what the hell just happened?
‘You almost had sex with the Blood Moon’s Alpha. That’s what happened!’
“Fuck, shut up, Cinna!”
I massaged my temples. This is stressing the hell out of me! Now, I don’t want to go out. I don’t think I could ever face Lucas and Darius ever again. Damn it!
I didn’t know how long I waited until I fell asleep, but I didn’t care. The next day, I woke up with the sun up already. I don’t know what time it was, but I think it was already a quarter to noon because I felt the sharp rays of the sun outside. My windows were open already, so I guess Lucas went in earlier. I stopped when I thought of him again. My face heated up when what happened yesterday flashed in my head. I covered my face and let out my frustration there.
“Celine.”
I almost jumped in my seat when I heard Leila’s voice. I heard her opening the door of my room. I didn’t remove my hands from my face.
“Alpha Lucas said that the pack doctor is not available today, so you won’t be checked. But if you wish to go out, you can already-”
“No! Uhh, I’m fine here!” I immediately said, cutting her off. I knew it was Leila. I know her voice. That made me more embarrassed.
Fuck.
Leila didn’t know about that, right? I mean, Lucas would never broadcast that to everyone, right? But then, just thinking about it and talking to Leila wasn’t helping!
“What? But just yesterday, you were ranting about how you wanted to get out of here already,” she said, confused.
I still didn’t move, my face still buried in my pillow.
“Uhh, I-I’m not feeling well!” I said and slumped back on the bed. I heard her gasp. I still did not move. My hands were still on my face.
“What? Are you sure?”
I immediately nodded. “Go now. I’ll s-sleep!”
Damn it!
“O-Okay…”
I didn’t respond already and just waited for her to leave. When I heard the door close, that’s when I was able to breathe properly. I sighed, closed my eyes, and hugged my pillow again. Now, I’m really not going out of here!
The whole day, I just stayed in my room. I stood by my excuse that I was not feeling well, so my meals were brought to my room. I just thank God they were not nosy about asking what I felt. Lucas, on the other hand, was missing in action. He hasn’t gone up to me ever since last night. I didn’t even know what was going on outside. Well, I didn’t care. I don’t think I could face him now anyway. Damn. Now that I think of it, how can I freaking face the whole pack? And Lucas. Shit… what was that? What happened between us must have meant something…right? I have been aware that we were developing feelings toward each other, but it’s…
“Celine.”
Chapter Forty-Seven
I was stunned when I heard a familiar voice.
I shot up from my bed, my heartbeat went rapid at the thought that it was Lucas, but then I was disappointed when a pair of deep blue eyes did not greet me.
“G-Gamma…” I said as I saw Gamma Brian in my doorway.
He nodded at me before stepping aside. As if on cue, the pack doctor entered.
“Good evening, Celine,” she greeted as she walked toward me. I cleared my throat and sat up properly.
“G-Good evening. I was told that you’ll visit me tomorrow?” I asked hesitatingly.
She just smiled at me and sat beside me. She sighed and began checking my wounds.
