I just smiled at her, too. “I’m excited,” I said.

“Of what?” she asked.

I smiled even wider. “Of the training. I’m determined, Leila. I will do it,” I firmly said.

There’s no turning back now. Whatever the consequences of this, I will gladly face it. Leila checked our surroundings to check if someone might overhear our conversation. Then she turned to me.

“Are you a hundred percent sure?”

I nodded. “Yes. A hundred percent. Let’s do this, Leila,” I urged her.

“Fine. But we should plan this meticulously, okay? Meet me in the garden later when everyone is asleep.”

I couldn’t help but smile at what she said. I nodded continuously. “I will.”

That afternoon, I wasn’t able to fully concentrate on my work. Gosh, I was just so excited! I couldn’t wait to start my training.

“Okay, the other dish, please!” I said as I was preparing for dinner. I just want to finish this already.

“Here, Celine.”

“Thanks,” I got the plate of vegetables and put it on what I was cooking. It was a bit chaotic in the kitchen. Everyone was doing their assigned jobs while someone was monitoring our moves.

“You better make sure that that’s delicious, Celine,” I heard one of the omegas say. I just rolled my eyes and shook my head. Of course, I will. I was in such a good mood that I didn't want anything to ruin it. The last thing I want is for the Alpha to comment something bad about it, so I made sure that this would be good and that he would forget his name once he ate it.

I smirked to myself. Success is an act of perfect revenge, so I will make sure that I will be successful in this so he would be eating all his insults back then.

‘I love your confidence, Celine.’

I smirked even more when I heard what my wolf said. I shook my head. I was pulled back to reality when someone tapped my shoulder. I creased my forehead and turned to that someone, only to see Leila beside me.

My eyes widened a bit. “Why?” I asked. She rolled her eyes.

“You’re smiling by yourself. Are you crazy?” she sarcastically said. I made a face and rolled my eyes at her before returning my attention to my task.

Almost an hour later, we were already preparing to deliver the dishes. I thought I would stay behind and clean like yesterday, but then Leila asked me to be one of the Omegas to serve the Alpha.

“You should be there since you cooked it anyway,” she said when I tried to complain. In the end, I just sighed in defeat and agreed to it anyway.

We paraded to the dining room, where the Alpha was waiting already.

“Good evening, Alpha Lucas,” I greeted, smiling a bit. One of his brows lifted. I just stared at him and proceeded to present his food for the night.

While he was eating, we all went to the side. We were all just waiting for his orders. The other servants were looking down while I was just looking at the corner of the room while thinking about what will happen later. I didn’t even notice that I was already spacing out and smiling like crazy.

“The food’s good, huh. However, the cook looks crazy,” I blinked multiple times when I heard my companions laughing. That’s when I realized that the Alpha was already looking at me. He flashed a sardonic smirk while staring at me.

Tsk. Does he really enjoy insulting me?I mumbled silently.

“Excuse me?” he queried. That’s when I cleared my throat and gave him a faint smile.

“Nothing, Alpha. Enjoy your food,” I was really serious when I said I wouldn’t let anyone ruin my mood tonight.

I stealthily went out of the room when I noticed that everyone was already asleep.

“Shh!” Leila said as we both left the quarters. I bit my lip and followed her. I am really sure where we are going, but I did not complain.
