My heart flutters wildly at his warmth, his words, his proximity and what he makes me feel.

Then, it nearly stops the next moment.

“Hey, Dad!” Ryder hollers from right outside. “Where are you? Can we go swimming yet?” Jill can be heard shuffling next to him.

We quickly break apart, snickering quietly. Theo gives his inconveniently tight chinos a hasty shove and tells the kids he’s helping me with my luggage and to go ahead and get changed into their swimsuits. They whoop and take off back down the hallway.

And, Theo gives me a dark and promising look before we slip off in opposite directions. Once the children are tucked in, indeed.

We should be exhausted. We were up before five. We’ve traveled here, unpacked, swam, explored the beach, cooked dinner, cleaned up, read stories to the children to help settle them – they were out like a light soon enough – but we’re not done with the day yet. Maybe Ponce de Leon should’ve searched for the Fountain of Youth in Cabo San Lucas. Or the Fountain of Stamina.

There’s a hot tub on the balcony of Theo’s suite. I packed family-friendly swimwear overall but I also brought along a teeny-tiny red thong bikini. It’s not a luxury SUV but we’ll call it Theo’s present.

“What isthat?”he asks, his voice rough when I step into his bedroom, carrying my towel.

“A bikini,” I say, innocently.

He smirks and spins his finger, silently ordering me to turn around. He hums appreciatively before closing the distance between us. His hands caress my ass. A finger slides under the string. He gives the material a snap, earning a surprised giggle from me.

“Do you like it?” I ask in that same innocent tone.

“I do. But this one doesn’t get worn in front of anyone but me, my naughty little nanny.”

“Yes, sir,” I say, saucily. As if I’d parade around in it in front of the children. “So, are we getting in the hot tub?”

“Eventually.”

“Eventually?”

“First, I’m going to fuck you while you’re wearing this bikini. Right here on my balcony.” I swear my nipples tighten and my pussy clenches up from those words alone.

“But… what if…”

“It’s secluded. Maybe some beach-combing trespasser with excellent binoculars could get a show but that’s not going to stop me when you’re wearingthat.”

I shake my head, grinning. Then, he’s pulling me against his hard body and kissing me senseless. He turns me towards the balcony rail and growls, “Hold on.”

Our four nights in paradise have just begun.

The rule at home is play quietly or watch cartoons if you’re up before seven on non-school days.

But, much to the chagrin of two adults who stayed up far too late indulging in pleasures of the flesh, Ryder and Jill are outside Theo’s bedroom door at six-thirty asking when they can swim in the pool or go collect seashells on the beach.

“Dad? Can you hear me?!” Ryder bellows when his first attempt is met with feigned snoring.

“I hear you. Be patient. The pool doesn’t open until nine.”

“DAD!” The doorknob rattles ominously but it’s locked, same as mine. That secret passage through our closets is very handy. We’ll have to raise a toast to the villa’s builder later.

“It’s not a hotel, Daddy! I don’t think there’s rules like that here,” Jill says.

“Jesus Christ,” Theo mutters. “No pool until you’ve eaten breakfast! And brushed your teeth! And read ten pages in a book!”

The cries of outrage over that last one has the two of us cackling. Butquietly.
