Leo's lips lifted a little bit. "Finally going to get the girl?"

"I've always had the girl, Leo. But there are just a lot of obstacles I had and still have to get through to get her back."

"You will get her back. I'm not worried. I believe in you and her. Dante is gone so now you just need to get her memories back."

"Easier said than done," I remark.

Leo rolls his eyes at me. "Take her out on a date or something. Introduce Thalia to Aria. That could really help Ace."

"But what if she doesn't remember Thalia and I put Aria and Thalia in a vulnerable position?"

"I'm not saying to tell Aria that she is a mom. I'm telling you to let Aria and Thalia interact."

"I'm scared that Thalia is not going to grow up with a mom."

Leo shakes his head lightly. "Let me tell you something." I look at Leo and raise an eyebrow. "After all the shit that went down with your dad, were you alone? Were you ever alone, Ace?"

I nip at my lip and look up at the ceiling.

I hate talking about him.

I hate talking about everything that has to do with that piece of shit.

I haven't talked about that since telling Aria what happened but even then, she doesn't know vividly what happened. The only people who do are my mom and me. I had told Leo but even then, he doesn't know all of the fucked up details.

Like how I saw him fuck my mom raw on the floor with her tears falling from her eyes. How I kicked my father in the face multiple times before pulling the trigger after I saw that. Or how I cried after him when I did pull the trigger.

I did love my dad because before the bad memories there were some good ones.

"No."

"That's right. You had me, Lana, your mom for a good amount of your life, Ana, the twins. You have a lot of people that love you and care about you, Ace."

"I know."

"Then stop worrying about Thalia. Worry about getting Aria back."

I look at Leo and he gives me a small smile. "Never knew you could be so caring, Leo."

Leo chuckles and shakes his head. "Love changes people. I mean look at you. Not so heartless anymore."

"Yea. I guess so."

Twenty Three

Lana calledme downstairs so that I could eat dinner with everyone. At first, I didn't want to, but my stomach started growling and it felt empty, so I had to get something in my stomach.

Lana made some tomato soup which was really good, so I am glad that I came downstairs to eat.

Last night was the day I killed Dante. After I killed him, I felt super tired and weak. I think I fell asleep in the car and then when I woke up, I was in a different room than the one I was staying in.

I found out it was Ace's room because a lot of his stuff was in that room. After I found out, I left and went to my room to go back to sleep.

Today I haven't done much. I was mostly in my room but then Lana knocked on my door and told me to go to the kitchen so that I could eat.

She is a really sweet woman. She reminds me of my grandma because of how warm she is and makes me feel.

"How are you feeling now, Aria?" Lana asks, breaking me out of my thoughts.
