"Please remember."
Before I can react and ask him what he means, he walks away from me and leaves the kitchen.
Twelve
I stare downat the ring that I gave Aria a year ago when I proposed.
We were supposed to be married by now, but Dante had to go in and ruin it.
And now I find out that he escaped my men.
"How did this happen?" I ask Cole as he sits in front of me.
In the office, I have Leo, Alex, and Cole. Yesterday morning Cole told me that Dante escaped my men as they were traveling to Italy.
I'm trying to figure out how this even happened because there's no way he could have escaped if they just listened to my simple orders.
"We were having plane troubles and one of the guys explained that the anesthesia didn't last long so he woke up from that. He took one of your men's guns and shot whoever he could."
I furrow my eyebrows and look away from the ring and at Cole. "Where were you when this was happening?"
"I was with the pilots figuring out what was going on with the plane. When I came back, I saw one soldier standing and the rest were dead, and Dante was not there."
I clench my fist and try to keep my breathing in control.
Ever since yesterday morning with Aria, I haven't been thinking straight. I haven't been thinking straight since Dante kidnapped her.
Now she doesn't remember me, and Dante is missing again.
"Why didn't you tell me this once you found out?"
"Because you just got to Sicily by the time we figured everything out. And I didn't want to tell you because I needed you to focus on Ari," Cole explains.
"I don't fucking care if I'm having a breakdown or if I'm lying on a death bed. I want to know everything that has to do with Dante. I want to know updates every other minute about Dante. Am I clear?" Cole nods his head. "Good."
"So, what now then?" Cole asks.
"Well, now we find his location. I'm going to have all of my media men on the job looking for him on every security camera they can. After we find an exact location, we won't think twice before going to him and killing him. He is by himself so it should be easy since he won't have an army behind him."
I am about to say something else but then the door to my office opens and I am about to yell at whoever opened the door before knocking but I see Aria walk inside with a pair of jeans and a black shirt.
I scoot out of my chair thinking she will walk towards me but instead she walks towards Alex.
She lost her memory, dumbass.
She doesn't know you.
I clench my fist and put the ring in my pocket.
"What are you guys talking about?" Aria asks as she looks at Alex.
Alex looks at me and I shake my head side to side.
I don't want Aria knowing anything about Dante. She is weak for him and that isn't what I need right now.
Right now, I need her to focus on getting her memory back so that she can help me raise our daughter.
I'm not getting any sleep whatsoever and I feel stressed out ninety-nine percent of the time.
