"Dante escaped Ace's men and we are going to find his location to kill him." I look at Alex and glare at him. "I had to tell her, Ace."
"I can't have her knowing," I tell Alex.
"He is my problem. Not yours so it's not up to you," Aria argues with me while sending me a glare.
"Amore, I'm the one who is in charge here. Don't fuck with me."
Talking to her like this gives me some sort of déjà vu from when we first met each other. But I miss her touch and just her being soft to me instead of closed off and cold.
I'm pissed off and frustrated that she doesn't remember me.
"Don't fuck with me. I could probably kill you right here, right now. Don't tempt me."
I chuckle because she said something like that on one of the first few days we met. "I'd like to see you try, amore."
Aria rolls her eyes and looks at Alex. "I want to kill Dante."
"Like hell, you are doing that," I said to Aria, and she turns around to look at me.
"Excuse me?" She raises her eyebrow at me.
"You're staying your ass here. You’re not allowed to leave this estate unless you have my permission and guess what, amore? You don't." I lean back in my chair and look at Aria as she clenches her fists and her face gets red from being so flustered and mad.
"Fuck you!"
"Gladly, Aria. Come over here on my lap and we can get started." I lean out of my chair as I stare at her.
"Okay, that's enough. I don't need to hear that," Alex interrupts. I'm glad he did because if he didn’t, I would have dragged Aria over on my lap where she belongs, even if she doesn't remember it. "I think Aria out of everyone should kill Dante."
"She isn't leaving the estate, Alex. Don't argue with me about this."
"You can't talk to him like that," Aria says, making me look back at her.
"I sure as fuck can. Want to know why? I'm the boss here. My fucking country, my fucking rules. You're not in America."
"Just because you’re the boss doesn't mean I will listen to you," Aria says before turning around and walking out the door.
I sigh and put my head in my hands.
"You know this isn't the way to get her back," I hear Leo say and I look up at him.
"Well, no fucking shit."
"You can't get her to remember you or fall in love with you by arguing with her," Alex says.
"I know," I mumble.
"Then what the fuck are you doing?"
"I'm frustrated, Alex. I'm tired. So sorry for not being the nicest person in the world."
"You could at least try," he argues back.
"I'm not going to do this with you, Alex. Stop worrying about how I handle my relationships, instead help me figure out where this motherfucker is so that I can have Aria kill him."
Thirteen
I'll showhim who's the fucking boss.
