"See you. Goodnight."
"Night."
Once I hung up the phone, I could barely focus on the game after hearing from her. The only things that were on my mind were the sound of Leighton's voice and the way she looked.
A'Mylo rubbed his hands together."Oh damn, you look beautiful," he complimented me when he stepped inside the house.
His eyes traveled up and down my body, causing my cheeks to burn. I wished he wouldn't do that. It was like he had no shame in looking at me. The bad part about it was that I loved the way he looked at me. It made me feel as beautiful as he said I was.
"Thank you." I beamed, knowing I had him where I wanted him. "Are you ready to look around?" I twisted my body from side to side as I looked from him to the inside of the house. We stood in the foyer. "It has three bedrooms with two and a half bathrooms." I used my fingers to indicate how many.
He observed the empty house. It had brown tiles and white walls throughout it.
"Word." He nodded. "Take me to the kitchen. I need to see how much space it has."
My eyebrows shot up as I eyed him. "Oh, so you like to cook?"
He nodded with a smile. "Man, do I? I'm always cooking when I have a little downtime. My parents usually have Sunday dinner at my apartment, and I love to feed my family."
That was sweet of him. Most men I came across couldn't cook worth a damn. My father sure couldn't cook.
"Let's go check out the kitchen, then." I made sure I walked ahead of him to sway my hips a bit. "There is a big backyard in the back as well. We can use the kitchen door to look outside."
I felt A'Mylo's eyes on me, and I couldn't help but feel a warm sensation flowing through my body. Why was my body doing this to me? I shouldn't be feeling any feelings for this man or any other man.
"This is a big ass kitchen," he noted, looking around the place.
While A'Mylo checked out the space, I checked out him. He wore a blue jumpsuit with a logo on it. He turned and saw me watching him. I was unable to avert my eyes in time.
"You and your eyes are gonna get you in trouble," he warned.
I raised an eyebrow and placed my hand on my hip. "Oh yeah, how?"
"Hmm, keep looking at me how you are, and you'll find out."
I waved him off, dropping my hand from my hip. "I wasn't even looking at you. Let's finish touring at the house." I walked out of the kitchen, not saying anything else to him.
We continued the walkthrough of the house until we were standing in front of it again.
"How do you like it?" I asked when we walked out together, making sure I locked the house up before I left.
"It's straight. I want to look at the other houses I've marked before I agree on anything."
I nodded. "Fair enough. Do you have time to look at another one?"
He shook his head before shoving his hands in his pockets. "Nah. I have to head to work, but we can do something this afternoon. Let's say around five?"
"Okay, that's perfect. I'll have everything set up."
A'Mylo grinned. "Perfect. We will talk later." He walked back to his car, and I turned around to ensure the house was locked, so I wouldn't have to look at him.
After showing A'Mylo the house, I returned to work. I had a mountain of paperwork to do. Then, to make matters worse, I received an alert on my iMac, informing me I had an urgent meeting with Theodore Smith. I didn't know why since I was up to date on all of my work. I didn't enjoy dealing with Theo much without Travis. Theo was a hard man to please, and he expected his workers to be perfectionists. I saw nothing wrong with that, but I worked to my full potential. Although I could be better, I try my best. Plus, I was still one of their top sellers. Perhaps that was what he wanted to discuss with me.
Thirty minutes later, I found myself in the conference room with Theo and two former clients. My eyebrow was knitted as I stared at everyone in the room. The clients had smiles on their faces.Could this be a good meeting?I wouldn't get my hopes up.
I ran my hand through my curls as I swallowed hard, preparing myself for what was to come.
"Good morning, Ms. Myles. Your clients, Mr. and Mrs. Calloway, want to show their gratitude to you for your assistance in helping them to find their new home."
