Mrs. Calloway's eyes were misty as her lips trembled into a smile. "We just want to say we thank you so much for helping us find our dream home. We know we were a pain, but you stuck by us, making sure we got the right house for us. And for that, we appreciate all that you did. Also, we would like to invite you to our housewarming party."

My chest felt like it was going to cave in as my eyes filled with tears. "I don't know what to say," I uttered in a quaking voice. My hands flew to my mouth as I stared wide-eyed at them. Were they being serious?

Mr. Calloway smiled. "You don't have to say anything right now. We just wanted to tell you thank you."

I nodded. "You're more than welcome."

When they left, I sat in the conference room, trying to pull myself together. Theo walked them out. I thought the worst, yet I had gotten the best news ever. I was grateful. This was why I loved my profession. The door of the conference room reopened, and Theo stepped back in with a smile on his face.

"And this is why you're one of our top realtors. You get the job done with no complaints. Even if the job can be a pain, you don't complain. You do what's needed. And for that, Travis and I thank you. Be on the lookout for something in the mail." With that, he walked back out of the room.

My mouth fell open as tears of joy ran down my face. I covered my face with my hand and gave in to the ugly cry I desperately needed. I felt so much lighter and on top of the moon. I felt like nothing could ruin my day after the news I had just received.

Later that evening, I pulled into the driveway of the house I would show A'Mylo. His car was already in the driveway, so I hoped I hadn't kept him waiting long.

I stepped out of my car and closed my door behind me. A'Mylo was outside of his too.

"Wassup?" he greeted.

I smiled my greeting with a nod. "Let's get started." I was still on cloud nine after the day I had. "This property has three bedrooms, two baths with a dining and living room," I stated when I unlocked the door for us to enter.

"You already know I want to see how the kitchen looks," he voiced when we stepped inside the foyer.

The house had undergone extensive renovations, featuring newly installed wooden plank flooring in every room, replacing the carpeting. The walls had also been updated and finished in a soft, off-white color, giving the home a fresh and inviting atmosphere.

"Okay, I'll lead the way."

We stood by our cars after looking over another house. That one didn't take as long as the first one did. A'Mylo wasn't as interested in this house as he was in the first one. Maybe in the end, he'd agree to buy that one.

"Okay, so that's it for the day. I'll be in touch to say when I'll have the other houses available for you."

"What do you have planned for the rest of the night?" he asked, leaning against his car.

I frowned, wondering why he had asked that. "Nothing."

He smirked. "You do now. Let's go to Tito's and grab some drinks."

I shook my head. "No, I don't think that's a good idea," I declined.

As much as I wanted to give in, it was best I didn't. A'Mylo was a good-looking man and was a flirt. From the first time I laid eyes on him, my body hadn't been the same.

He smiled cockily. "I didn't ask."

I placed my hand on my hip and glared at him. "Well, I'm telling you."

He ran a hand across his jaw, smoothing down his beard. "You're saying all that without saying yes. It can't be that hard to say. If you have nothing to do, why not come chill with me?"

I nibbled on my bottom lip, wanting to give in to him.

"You can try to find reasons you don't want to go or can't go, but I'm not taking no for an answer. We can be here all night if that's what you want."

What would it hurt to have one drink with him? I had a feeling he'd keep me here all night if he had to. And that was something I didn't want, especially with it getting chilly. It was the middle of September, and the weather was changing overnight.

I sighed deeply. "Fine."

A'Mylo grinned with a nod. "Word. I'll meet you at Tito's then. If you try to take your ass home, don't forget I know where you work." He winked, turned, and climbed into his car.

I didn't even waste any time getting into my car and following behind him. I had a feeling he would've shown up at my job if I had ditched him. I didn't know how this was going to go, but I hoped for the best. A'Mylo seemed like a really nice guy, but what the hell was I doing? Men were all nice at first until they showed their true colors.
