"Yes, baby," Mom giggled. "They have dress clothes. And trust me, getting Wyatt and Cole fitted for a suit is an experience I never want to repeat. Mase stood there in his usual stoic silence, and Jay and Ash wanted to look good, so they behaved, but Cole and Wyatt squirmed around and whined more than little boys getting their first hair cut."

I laughed.

"Wait til you see them all dressed up." Mama nudged me with her elbow. "Sharp doesn't begin to describe it. Your jaw will drop."

"Unfortunately, you won't get Wyatt to stay dressed up for long." Mom shook her head with a sigh. "He'll be stripped out of the coat and tie as soon as the ceremony's over. And be prepared for sneakers. We demanded, cried, threatened, bribed, and begged, but we couldn't make him buy dress shoes."

"Sounds like my boy," I laughed. "Will Peri have enough time to make a gown by Monday?"

"Oh, honey, she's already started it." Mom bounced up and down in her seat. "Wait until you see the design! She went with Callie and Keeley into the city to look at some fabrics. If you have a color preference, text or link her now."

"It doesn't matter. Whatever she thinks will look good on me." I bit my lip and knotted my fingers together in my lap as I admitted in a whisper, "I need to look good enough so I don't shame the boys."

"You could never do that," Mom assured me. "You could show up in ripped jeans and a tank top, and they'd be just as proud to stand at your side."

"You'll look like the angel you are." Mama reached over and untwisted my fingers. "Trust me, Posy, those boys are going to take one look and fall in love with you all over again."

Three times since Friday, Mom had threatened me -me!her firstborn son and her alpha! - with a sudden but painful death if I screwed up our girl's special day.

Which was why I was out of bed and showered by eight a.m. Monday morning, devouring breakfast in a freaking suit - most of a suit, anyway - and wishing I could have caught another hour of sleep.

The moms wanted to take the photos before the big event, wise enough to know none of my brothers, except maybe Mase, would look good for long after the ceremony. I for one planned to ditch my suit coat as soon as we stepped off the stage.

My brothers and I had finished eating, wondering where our girl was and why she wasn't down here with us, when Mama came into the kitchen and clapped her hands.

"All right, boys, I hope you're ready for this!" She beamed. "Put on your suit coats and go wait in the living room."

"What's going on, Mama? And why didn't Posy eat breakfast?" I frowned as I stood and grabbed the wretched coat from the back of my chair. "She can't afford to miss any meals."

"She ate in your room as we were getting her ready." Mama made shooing gestures. "Go, go! She'll be down in a second so we can take photos, and the quintet needs to be in place for her grand entrance."

Women get so worked up over this kind of thing, I grumbled to my boys as we shuffled into the living room.

It's important to them, Jay linked back. The least we can do is cooperate.

Yeah, yeah.I rolled my eyes.Mom said if I mess this up, she'll tell Dad I took the Lamborghini for a spin the other day.

The one hejustfinished restoring for the Russian king?Ash squeaked. The one that's worth two million?

Yep!I grinned. And I am so getting one. If I knew how much fun they were to drive, I would have bought one as soon as I had my license.

Boy, you best behave today,Cole said. Dad will skin you alive if he finds out.

He'll find out, anyway. You're lucky he hasn't already,Jay snickered.

How would he? Other than Mom, you're the only ones who know, and you'd better not tell him.I shot them dark looks.

And how did Mom find out?Mase asked.

I may have passed her on the highway.I scrubbed the back of my neck with one hand.

And how fast were you going?

She says she was going seventy and I passed her like she was standing still.I shrugged.I highly doubt she was going seventy. She was in the minivan with Wesley and the heathens.
