She giggles, unable to sit still with giddiness, her mood bleeding to my own.

“Alright, then.” I smirk, and the clown squeals with excitement. “Bring them to me, Havoc. We shall have one last game after all.”

Havoc raises her hammer up in the air in excitement as I walk from the fire towards my window, looking out over my land. I cross my arms over my front as a familiar ache fills me, an ache I have spent an entire existence trying to ignore.

No one could ever understand the emptiness I feel, knowing I am a god, a creator of beings and words, yet I have no one by my side. I thought he—well, I thought things would be different.I should’ve known better, but call it desperation on my part. I thought he would see it my way. When I created him, it was for a companion, but—I may be a god, but I am still a woman. The way I designed him, his eyes, that crooked little smile... He stirred things in me. I wanted him—needed him.

His rejection broke me in a way I didn’t realize I could break. I became mad in every sense of the word. I figured he was broken; somehow, I must’ve made a mistake, he was incapable of love. But here I stand, with hislovein the cell below me as they find their pleasure throughmythreads. I created them both, and yet he chose her? He chose a pile of scraps I threw together just to get out of my way.

The windowpane cracks as a bolt of lightning shoots across the sky, igniting an idea. “Havoc,” I snip out, not looking away from the storm. My cold hand reaches my chain necklace, playing with the large stitch remover dangling between my breasts. “Bring me the toy first.” A smirk pulls at my lips. “There are a fewalterationsI would like to make, ensuring she looks her best for her Boogeyman.”

Chapter 13

Firefly

“Where is she!” I roar as Havoc strolls into my cell, her amused grin bright and wide.

“Come now bug, the game is just starting.”

“What game?” I growl, fighting the chains.

She leans toward me as I lunge towards her, but she moves away too quickly, taunting me. “Silly bug, knows Havoc doesn’t like touches. Tsk tsk. Now come, the game will start. Behave or dolly will suffer.” She raises a key, grinning as she slowly approaches me. “Be a good bug.” She unlocks and removes my chains as I fight back every fiber of my being to strangle her, but Havoc knows I won’t do anything until I see Blue and know she’s alright. So why set me free?

Something was happening but I don’t know what. Havoc came in hours ago, creations rushing after her, dragging Blue from her cell. They said nothing, simply obeying some orders and left as Havoc simply watched, whistling the entire time. I have no idea where they took her but the searing pain I felt in my eye terrifies me.

“Fuck your game! Where is Blue?” Havoc stops retreating and spins to look at me.

“Dolly is the final piece. The game can now be won. Come on!” She urges. What game? Dread fills me at what I’m about to walk into. What have Havoc and the Spinster done to Blue?

I follow Havoc from the cell and all the way to the study, trying not to shiver as I see the Spinster sitting by the fire. My eyes widen as I watch her. She’s absently stroking... yellow hair?

“B-blue!” I cry out as I see my sweet girl. She’s bound and beaten, her head forced on the Spinster’s lap as the bitch continues to stroke her hair like she’s some sort of pet. Blue lets out weak cries and I see the cause behind the mysterious pain.

“What did you do!” I roar to mask my cry. Her eyes—she’s missing her black eye.

“No need to shout,” the Spinster hisses while lazily picking up a glass jar and shaking the content. Blue’s black button eye clings around and it’s enough to make me want to vomit.

“Don’t you like it when their eyes are in jars? On display to see you?” She grins sharply.

“Blue, baby it’s okay,” I don’t know if I’m saying this for my benefit or hers at this point. “I-I can fix this alright. You know I can.” I want to fall to my knees at the sight of her, my heart cracking from it all.

“Dolly saw too much,” Havoc beams while skipping over to the other chair. “Dolly was warned about the colors. Drawn to?—”

“You took her fucking eye!” I scream as I grip Havoc by her shirt, bearing down on her with such rage. “I’m going to kill you.” Havoc’s grin drops and her human eye dilates. She grips my throat, pulling my hand from her, her own strength surprising me.

“Havoc,” the Spinster states coolly. “Enough.”

Havoc releases me as I raise a brow, “No leash huh?” I taunt, causing her to snarl at me.

The Spinster removes Blue from her lap as she stands up. Blue falls to the ground and I try to rush to her, but Havoc blocks me.

“Bug is here to play with spider lady, not dolly.”

“Fuck you both,” I spit out, causing the Spinster to chuckle softly.

“You always were one for the colorful vocabulary. It’s always been the thing I’ve found least attractive about you.”

“Oh, well excuse the fuck out of me.” My voice is barely able to stay strong. All I can see is her, slipping into my bed, pinning me down and forcing herself on top of me. As if reading my mind, the Spinster reveals her cruel smile while striding closer to me. She stops in front of me, her button eyes looking me up and down.
