When I pulled into the snow covered parking lot, Mila smiled and her cheeks turned pink. “I talked your ear off! I’m sorry, I guess I’m just nervous. I really want this job you know?”
“Don’t apologize. I could listen to you all day. I know Lacey will love you, you’ve got nothing to worry about. I’m going to head into my office to check on a few things. Just come over there when you’re done, okay?”
“Will you walk me to the door?” Mila asked and my heart soared.
“I thought you’d never ask.”
After we parted ways, I waited in my office anxiously. Thankfully the rest of the guys were out doing various jobs and helping with the storm, leaving me alone to pace the floor. They’d know in an instant something was off, after spending years in the service together we could all read each other well, and the last thing I wanted to admit was having it bad for my best friend’s little sister.
But fuck, I couldn’t get this woman out of my head.
About thirty minutes later, I heard the doorbell ring and I rushed to the front door. “Well? How’d it go?” I asked her as I locked the door behind me and led us back to my truck.
“I don’t know…I thought it was going good and then…”
“And then?” I held her door open and she shrugged before getting in.
Once I got back in, I looked over at Mila and she was grinning and clapping. “I got it! I got the job!”
“That’s awesome! You had me fooled there.” I laughed. “I thought I was going to have to go say something to Lacey and I doubt Crew would like that very much.”
Mila leaned back in her seat and let out a deep sigh. “Phew what a relief it is to be employed again.”
“I bet.” I started the engine and the air from the vents was still warm. It felt good on my cold cheeks. “Let’s go get lunch and celebrate. You deserve it.”
Mila turned her head towards me and her intense stare made my dick hard all over again. “You’re too nice to me, Rowan.”
“Nah, not possibly.”
She lifted the middle console piece and slid closer to me on the bench seat. “You are. How do you know I’m not a bad girl? Maybe that’s why Julian doesn’t want me around any of his friends.”
“Ha, you a bad girl? Not possible.”
“How do you know?” She slipped off her gloves and tossed them on the dash. Next went her hat.
“Is it too warm in here? I can turn the heat down.”
“Don’t avoid the question.”
“Because, no sister of Julian’s would be. And in the less than twenty-four hours I’ve known you, my spidey sense tells me you’re a beautiful human being.”
Mila burst into a fit of giggles. “Your spidey sense?”
“Yes. It’s pretty spot on if I do say so myself.”
Mila reached up and ran her fingers through my beard. “I have a different idea of how we can celebrate.”
“Okay. Do tell.”
Mila slipped off her jacket and climbed into my lap. I knew as soon as she straddled me, there was no way she wouldn’t feel the huge bulge between my legs, my cock straining beneath my jeans. “I did some thinking last night…” She said as she rested her hands on my chest and moved her hips against mine.
I swallowed my moan as my dick protested more.
What’s happening right now? This woman is giving me whiplash.
“I thought maybe we could have some fun? In secret?”
“In secret? I don’t know, Mila…Julian’s my best friend. I’d rather be straightforward and honest, let him be pissed and get over it, than sneak behind his back. Won’t that make things worse?”
