We filled the back of Scott’s truck with items for the kids. We even had to put stuff in the bed of his truck. We definitely worked up an appetite and I’m excited to see if Scott really did remember my favorite restaurant.
I would be grateful for anywhere he took me.
I am pleasantly surprised when Scott pulls into the parking lot of my favorite steak house. “Wow. You really did pay attention,” I smile over at him.
“Of course I remembered. You said it was your favorite steak, and your family always comes here to celebrate special occasions,” he smiles back.
“What is the special occasion today?” I ask with a hint of curiosity.
“Being with you.”
I blush at the sincerity in his voice.
It has been a long time since I have felt wanted like this. And while I still feel guilty at times, I have to admit it is nice to have the company and affection again.
Dinner was just as delicious as I remember. And I can't wait for the chocolate cheesecake to come for dessert.
"Here you go, anything else I can get for you?" our waitress asks.
"I think we're all set, thank you," Scott tells her.
I dig into the cheesecake and the first bite has a moan leaving my mouth involuntarily. The velvety smooth cheesecake is highlighted by the candy cane dust sprinkled on top. It's a Christmas explosion on my tongue.
"Anything that has you making noises like that must be good." Scott winks in my direction.
I didn't realize I was making noises while I eat my cheesecake, "It's so good."
Scott picks up his fork and takes a bite of my cheesecake. As soon as it hits his tongue he moans too.
"Oh that is good," he says with a mouthful of cheesecake.
And now I see why he was so attuned to my moaning, I'm imagining what other things make him moan like that. I haven't wondered these thoughts about a man in years.
But now, I don't know if I can stop.

Scott:Good morning beautiful, I hope you have a sweet tooth after dinner tonight because we are going to try the new hot chocolate flights at the diner!

Lorelei
Scott:Good afternoon Beautiful. Our date today is going to be at the senior center. We are making ornaments. I promise it’ll be special even if we can’t have a date outside of the center today. Can’t wait to see you in a few hours.
I have to stop at the diner and get another hot chocolate before I go to the senior center today. Those flights last night were incredible. The thick, velvety chocolate was only highlighted by the different flavors. We got to try the original, raspberry, mint, and hazelnut.
My mouth is watering as I wait for my raspberry hot chocolate to come up.
Sipping on my hot chocolate, I walk into the senior center and see Mabel waving me over to her table where she decorates an ornament. She is like a grandmother to me. She’s always offering life advice since she lost her husband at a young age too. I love getting to spend time with her and hear her life stories.
“Lorelei! Over here Baby Girl. Come sit with me.” She waves wildly at me.
“Hey Mabel! What are you working on?” I pull out the chair, and sit beside her.
“Oh, sweetheart, that is not what I want to talk about today.” She waves me off. “Tell me what is going on with you and that very good looking man over there.” She points to Scott setting up a table with decorating materials.
So she's more like a sassy, but loving grandmother.
