Ramsey stands up. “She’s alive. I know she is. I’d feel it if she wasn’t.” He storms out the back of the house, probably for a smoke.

“Sorry, Rosie. We are all feeling it. Ramsey and I had just started our relationship with her after dancing around the subject for months. We need to get her back, not just for you and Knuckles, but for us. She’s our woman and as soon as we get her back, we are claiming her. Believe me when I tell you that no one takes our woman and gets away with it.”

“I know, Cash. I know how she feels about both of you. She was trying to hide it from Tyler, but she told me that she wanted both of you. I admit I don’t know about the whole sharing thing, but I’d never stand in the way of love.”

“It’s difficult to explain, but we get so much more when we are both with her. We need her back in one piece.”

“What if she’s...”

“Stop!” I put my finger up against her lips. “We don’t say that word. She is alive. She will be fine, and we will find her and bring her back, Rosie. I promise you if it’s the last thing I do, I will bring her home.” My gaze moves to the back garden. “We will bring her home.”

Rosie sobs softly and I reach over and pull her to my side. I kiss her on the top of her head. I know she misses her. We all do. But it’s harder for Rosie because she’s not used to how things work. She originally wanted us to call the police, but we said that we would find her and dish out the punishment. I know six weeks later we are still trying to find her.

We leave Rosie with a promise of finding Meg. Then we get on our bikes and ride over to where this Ghost person lives. It's a big house and when we knock on the door it seems like ages until someone opens the door. We are not expecting to see a small woman, under five foot at a guess.

“How can I help you?” She looks between the two of us and if she finds us intimidating, she doesn’t show it.

“Ghost?” I stare at her, watching her reactions. Her eyes flick between the two of us.

“What’s it to you two?”

Ramsey chuckles. “You’re Meg’s friend, right?”

Her eyes open wider. We know she’s the right person. “And you are?”

“She’s ours, but she’s been taken, and we need to find her.”

“How long?” She opens the door wider for us to step inside.

“What us or her?”

“Her.”

“She’s been gone for six weeks.”

“Six weeks and you’re only coming to me now. Are you desperate or something?”

“Yes, we are. We’ve exhausted all other possibilities. We can’t find her, and we need your help. Our club will owe you one if you help us find her.”

“Okay. I’ll find her.”

“Just like that?”

“I’ll need some information from you, and I’ll need to know what you’ve done so far. But yeah, just like that.”

I pull out my phone and call Brax. “Hey, we found her friend, can you come over and tell her everything you’ve done so far.”

“No. Bring her to the clubhouse, it will be easier.”

“Done.” I hang up.

“Brax has been doing all the research and he wants you at the clubhouse to show you what he’s done.”

“Nope, no can do. He can come here, but I’m not stepping outside that front door.”

“What the fuck? What do you mean you’re not stepping outside?” Ramsey has come back inside.

“I don’t leave the house.” She’s looking all around her.
