A love story told from both protagonists’ points of view.

Devon Dulcet is a young pediatrician whose life falls apart when she’s diagnosed as unable to conceive. Faced with this irreversible diagnosis, her husband callously abandons her, blaming her for ruining his life by depriving him of children. Feeling alone on every level and overwhelmed by profound grief, she seeks refuge in her beloved profession and friends, eventually managing to move forward. But Devon is determined never to go through that pain again, and she makes herself a promise: to close her heart to love and any similar emotion because, who could love someone who can’t start a family with children? She believes she doesn’t deserve to be loved, but she’s wrong. Nothing prepares her for the upheaval that occurs in her life when she encounters a little patient hungry for attention and her authoritative but attractive father.
William Cavaller is a widower, lawyer, and successful businessman, but above all, the loving father of Aurora, a 3-year-old girl. His first marriage was a sham, and he swore he’d never go through that ordeal again. Furthermore, now that his daughter is part of his life, he won’t allow any woman to play with the little girl’s feelings. But what would happen if a beautiful angel crossed his path to change the course he had set?
Yes, their lives intersect, and although both do everything possible to avoid each other, it’s difficult to escape the passion and irresistible desire that awakens in them when they clash. Even though their plans involve fleeing from these new and bewildering emotions, it seems destiny has different plans, and little Aurora does too.
But when both let themselves be carried away by this new emotion that grows by leaps and bounds, leaving them completely vulnerable, the past returns with intentions to ruin everything.
