Finally, I say, “A month should be plenty of time.”
“I agree. Now, get naked.”
* * *
Pleasure coils through me and I squeeze my legs together, trying to savor the feeling.
“That’s right, baby girl,” Odin coos into my ear. “Fuck your Daddy’s hand.”
Opening my eyes, I gasp as Odin adds another finger. He gives me a wicked grin as he pumps in and out of me.
“Daddy, I want your cock,” I beg. “Please.”
He’s over me in an instant, sliding into me. Unlike last night, his movements are slow and almost sweet. I sigh as his mouth covers mine in a kiss. We do this until I shatter, moaning out his name. He’s right behind me and falls next to me on the pillow when he’s finished.
“Morning,” he says with a smile.
God, he’s stunning. I love the way his eyes crinkle around the edges when he smiles.
“Morning.” I stretch. “That was a lovely way to wake up.”
“Glad you liked it, because that’s how it’s going to go for the next thirty days.”
I look over his shoulder at the clock on his nightstand.
“Has she left yet?”
“Not yet. I suppose I should dress so I can see her off.”
I don’t say anything as he climbs out of the bed and pads across the room naked to the bathroom. When he steps into the shower, I close my eyes. What am I doing?
“Baby girl, you better get your ass in here with me before I have to come and get you.”
Opening my eyes, I find Odin watching me. Slipping from the bed, I walk to the bathroom and step into the shower with him. He pulls me close, kissing me.
“I don’t like the look on your face.”
I try to smile but fail miserably.
“Just feeling guilty.”
“Don’t.”
This time I manage a small smile. “You haven’t known me long enough to know that I’m always feeling guilty about something.”
“You care too much about what people think.”
“Obviously.”
He rubs my arms. “Baby girl, that’s no way to live. We only have one life, and we have to make it count.”
I meet his gaze, feeling vulnerable.
“Is that why you were using me to pass time before the wedding and what you’re doing now?”
He presses his forehead against mine. “Forget I ever said that. I’m right where I want to be. Are you?”
I nod, wrapping my arms around him. He hugs me back and I feel…safe. We stand there like this until the water begins to cool.
