“Wow, I don’t know what to say.” I state.
“Tell me you love me.” He cups my face, wiping the tears from my cheeks with the pads of his thumbs.
“I love you, Sebastian,” I whisper. He leans down, gently kissing me. Pushing up on my tippy toes, I try to get a deeper connection. His tongue plunges into my mouth and I moan at the connection. I can’t get enough of him. He’s addictive like a drug I never knew I needed. But now I need it to survive. He pulls back, looking in my eyes and presses his forehead against mine.
“I love you, too, Stormy. Thank you for coming with me today. I know it was hard for you at the funeral but I’m so proud of you. You got through it. I don’t think you realize how strong you are.” He murmurs in my ear. He makes me weak in the knees when he says things like that.
“I think you have something to do with that. I feel whole with you. Maybe that sounds crazy, but I know you’ll be here for me. You’ve been my rock lately and I know you will take care of me.” I place my hands over his as he pulls me in for another kiss.
“I’m not going anywhere, Angel. You are stuck with me.” He announces and it makes me smile. “Now go get fixed up before someone comes looking for us. Do you want me to wait or meet you downstairs?” He asks.
“You go ahead and go. I will be down in a minute,” I express. I walk into the bathroom as he leaves, and I wonder how the hell I’m going to fix this mess.
Sebastian
I go back down to the kitchen and see Miles and Lizzie have arrived. Miles gives me a quizzical look then smirks at me. Of course, he would know what I was up to. Mother sees me come in and smiles her bright smile, none the wiser. At least that’s good.
“Where did Stormy get off to?” She asks but before I can answer, Stormy comes up beside me.
“Here I am. I had to use the little girl’s room.” She responds. I don’t know how, but she looks the same as when we got here, except for the red mark around her neck. Hopefully, no one notices that. It would be an awkward conversation.Hey, I like choking my girlfriend until she almost passes out so she will have the biggest orgasm ever. No big deal.I shake my head and smile. Stormy looks up at me with a devilish look in her eyes, remembering what we were just up to.
“Stormy, where is your wine glass, honey?” My mother asks. Fuck.
“I must have left it upstairs. I can go up there and get it.” She remarks, her cheeks turning a shade of pink.
“No worries, I will pour you another. Lizzie would you like some?” She asks.
“No thank you, Amelia. I won’t be drinking.” She brushes her hand across her flat stomach, and I look at Miles who has the largest smile on his face.
“No way! You’re pregnant?” Mother asks, coming around the kitchen island to give them hugs.
“Yes ma’am. We just found out.” Lizzie replies with a smile on her face.
“Congratulations.” We all seem to say at the same time. Stormy goes and gives Lizzie a hug while I slap my brother on the back. The lucky bastard. He got there before me. Now more than ever, I want to knock Stormy up. Lizzie leads Stormy into the den to talk. She looks back at me and smiles. The look squeezes my heart and I know I need to get a ring on her finger as soon as possible. I want us to become a family. I want everything with her. She would never have to work ifshe didn’t want to. She definitely doesn’t need to be my assistant any longer. I can get a new one and she can focus on school. So many thoughts are running through my mind that I don’t hear what Miles says to me.
“Earth to Sebastian.” He says jokingly.
“Sorry, I don’t know what I was thinking about.” I lie. He gives me a ‘yeah right’ look and I have to look away before Mother suspects something. I don’t want her to know my plans until I’ve had time to set them in place and talk to Stormy, of course.
“I said it was a beautiful funeral today. Stormy did a great job with flowers and decorations. Elijah wouldn’t have been able to do all that.” Hearing that bastards name has me clenching my fists.
“She did do well. Congratulations, man. I’m happy for you.” I say, bringing him in for a hug.
“You just wish it was you.” He responds.
“What?” I question.
“I saw the way you looked at Stormy when you heard the news. Don’t worry, your secret is safe with me. But you might want to put a ring on that finger first. Just a suggestion. Otherwise, I doubt she would go for it.” Miles informs. “Just some brotherly advice.” He turns to follow the girls into the den. I’m left in the kitchen with my Mother.
“Do you need help serving the dishes?” I ask, looking at my Mother.
“Yes, that would be great, darling. Thank you.” I take two plates and carry them to the dining room, setting them down on the spots that Mother has set for them. I go back and get the rest of the plates just as everyone joins us in the dining room.
We eat dinner with comfortable conversations.Miles and Lizzie talk about her pregnancy and I keep catching glances at Stormy when they mention it to see what she is thinking. She looks almost wishful or maybe that’s my feelings being projected onto her.
Soon enough the dinner is over, and we are at the door saying our goodbyes. I grab Stormy’s coat for her and drape it over her shoulders, knowing she won’t want to wear it in the car on the way back to our apartment.
“Thank you for having us over, Mother. We’ll have to do it again soon. I love you.” I embrace her and kiss her cheek.
