“Hey Daniel, what do you think about Ray and Toby?” He laughs.

“It’s starting to get noticeable. I personally don’t have a problem with it, it’s Toby who has the problem he’s fighting it extra hard. I think within time they will grow on each other and they will crack. They just better hope Nikki doesn’t see it just yet.” I laugh.

“Yeah they are not ready for that just yet, but I give it about two months for her to figure it out.” He chuckles.

“Sounds about right. She usually figures it out in that time frame.” I hope everything works out for everyone, especially those two they both deserve to be happy. Jason would be happy knowing his brother has found someone even if they are both stubborn, he would have helped Nikki with them. Man I miss him so much I wish things could’ve been different, but I know he’s in a good place now.

“Are you okay Kate?” I hear concern in his voice I look up and kissed him softly.

“Yes, everything will be just fine.”

“What were you thinking about?”

“Jason. I think he would be happy that Ray found someone and that he would help Nikki get those two together.”

“He definitely would have.” He smiles at me and I smiled back. I should visit him soon. My eyes start to get heavily they slowly start to close.

“I miss you Jason.”

Chapter Seven

Daniel

I have been watching Kate sleep for six hours now, I just can’t fall asleep after what happened. I won’t be able to relax until I find the piece of shit and make him pay.

“Get some sleep, Daniel.”

“How did you know I was still up?”

“Because I can feel your eyes on me. Now get some sleep I’m home and safe, your going to need your energy.” I sigh.

“Your right.”

“I know I’m right.” She says in a sleepy voice. I wrap my arms around her then drift to sleep.

“Uncle Daniel wake up.”

“What is it Nikki?”

“Uncle Ray wanted me to wake you up, he says it’s important.”

“Thank you Princess.” Nikki kisses my check than leaves the room. I got up and got dressed. I walk downstairs and walked over to Ray.

“Did you find him?”

“I did. He’s just out of town in the woods. I sent you the location already.”

“Thanks Ray for everything.”

“You don’t have to thank me. You know there’s nothing I wouldn’t do to protect her and this family.”

“Yeah I know, but still thank you.”

“Anytime.” Jasper hands me a gun and I place it in my waistband.
