“That’s not funny Ray you could’ve been seriously injured.”

“I didn’t know you cared so much.” Ray says with a smirk.

“I don’t. But the kids do and the two oldest heard what happen and are worried sick about your dumb ass.”

“Shit.”

“Yeah.”

“Can I borrow your phone?” Ray hands him his phone and Ray video calls Finn.

“Ray, how are you?”

“I’m fine Finn, where is Nikki and Jordan?”

“Right here.”

“Uncle Ray are you okay?” They said in a worried tone. My poor babies. Ray gives them a big smile.

“Yes I’m okay it’s just a minor injury I’ll be back home tomorrow.”

“That’s great. Can you stay the night tomorrow?”

“Sure I don’t think that will be a problem.”

“Awesome. We will watch movies all day and eat a lot of junk food.” Nikki said with excitement.

“You might want to get daddy’s permission first on that both of you.”

“Okay.”

“Now I will see you tomorrow I need to get some rest for our big day tomorrow.”

“Okay. We love you Uncle Ray.”

“I love you both so much.” Ray hands Toby back his phone, then places his head back on the pillow and closes his eyes for a second.

“Get some rest Ray.”

“I will thank you both for coming.” His eyes slowly close and Toby sits next to him on a chair.

“For a person who says he’s hates Ray you sure look worried about him.” I say with a smirk and Toby rolls his eyes.

“Like I said the kids love him and they need him.”

“What about you? Your still here why?”

“Kate enough with all the damn questions.” I laugh. He completely hates that he cares about Ray. I look over to him and he looks more calm than he did when he first got here.

“Hey Kate?”

“Yeah Toby?”

“Do you really think he’s okay?”

“Yeah he’s going to be just fine, don’t worry.”

“Who says I’m worried?”
