She took a breath in and looked over in his direction, making eye contact. “We didn’t get to talk about our dynamic?”
“Yes, but not what I had in mind,” he said. “We’ll get to that one in a couple of minutes. There’s something more important that we need to discuss first.”
“Me leaving last night?”
She was so afraid to say that, but she had a feeling that it was the correct answer. How could it not be? She couldn’t remember her doing anything else that would warrant a conversation.
“Yes,” he said. “I specifically told you to wait for me until I got back from talking to Michael and what happened when I turned back around? You were gone. I searched for you.”
Guilt started to form in her stomach as he talked. She didn’t mean for him to search for her.
“You didn’t put a phone number down in your application or where you’re staying. I was worried about you,” he said.
“Sorry,” she whispered, feeling terrible now.
She really didn’t mean to make him worry and do all of that. It wasn’t her intention.
“Why did you leave when I told you not to?” he asked.
“My ride was there and needed to be somewhere. I didn’t want to keep them waiting,” she whispered. “I really am sorry. I didn’t mean to make you worry.”
She knew she was still lying to him because she didn’t have a ride. But he didn’t need to know that because she would get into even more trouble than she was already in. Jaxson would be livid if he found out that she had been walking home every night since she started working there.
She couldn’t do anything about it. She didn’t have enough money to take a taxi every night to and from work. That would get crazy expensive and she wouldn’t be able to pay for rent or eat anything.
“I could’ve taken you home,” he said. “You could’ve told the person that you needed to wait for me and they could’ve gone wherever they needed to go. You knew I offered to take you home and was available.”
Tears formed in her eyes the longer he talked. The guilt was getting to be so much and she didn’t want that.
“I’m really sorry,” she whispered, the tears running down her face.
Maybe last night she should’ve just called the taxi, so he saw she had a ride home. Then he wouldn’t be worried. She hated that he worried so much and even tried to find her.
“Next time, when I tell you to stay somewhere until I come back, I mean it. You have corner time but if you do it again, the consequences will be worse,” he said.
“Yes, sir,” she whispered.
She wanted to call him Daddy, but she didn’t know how he would feel about that. They hadn’t talked about their dynamic yet and she didn’t know if it was okay to call him that. Yes, he had called himself Daddy when they were out in the main room, but she didn’t know if he meant it or if he was just angry and it came out.
“Let’s get the punishment over and then we can talk about our dynamic more,” he said. “Legs spread, bottom out, and your nose in the corner. This time I’ll let you keep your pants on, but don’t get used to it.”
She made her way over towards the corner and got into position. She hated corner time.
“Think about what you did wrong,” he said. “I’ll call you when the time is up.”
She really hadn’t meant to make him worry and look for her last night. She thought she was doing something okay and that he really wouldn’t care.
She was wrong. So wrong.
Why did she not think things through very much? She always seemed to think that it was going to be okay but then several hours later, she finds out it wasn’t. There had been countless times that this had happened and she needed to stop that, however she could.
“You can come out now,” he said.
She didn’t know how long she stood there, thinking about what she had done wrong. If Jaxson offered to walk her outside again, she would just have to get a taxi. Hopefully, he didn’t make it a thing.
“Come here,” he said as he opened his arms.
She quickly walked over towards him and snuggled into his embrace. She loved his hugs, the way his arms felt around her.
