"So pwetty," she whispered.

"Not pretty," Daddy said. "I'm handsome, hot, sexy, but not pretty."

"Daddy pretties."

He sighed and closed his eyes. "I'm not getting you to change your mind, am I?"

Sofia stood up, but kept her hands on his face. "Nope." She gave him a smile before leaning her head forward, licking the tip of his nose, and leaning back.

She grabbed the tiara off the table before looking at Daddy.

"Did you lick my nose?" he asked.

She shook her head and couldn't help but giggle. His face was one of curiosity and disgust at the same time.

"No Daddy. Whys would I do that?"

"I don't know, because you're a naughty girl?"

Sofia gasped and shook her head. "I isnota naughty girl."

Daddy snorted. "Whatever you say, but Daddy knows that you are, and you can't hide it."

She stayed silent as she looked at her Daddy. How did she respond to that?

"How about you start putting the tiara on me?" Daddy suggested as if he could tell she was struggling with what to do next. "But please do it gently. I don't want a bleeding scalp."

"I always gentles," She said as she moved to put the tiara on her Daddy.

"Of course you are," he replied and Sofia couldn't tell if he was making fun of her or not.

She would never intentionally hurt her Daddy. Sometimes she did things without thinking or realizing that it was hurtingthe other person. Even then, she always felt guilty and tried to make it up to the person.

"Ouch," Daddy said as he slightly pulled back.

"Oh no!" Sofia gasped and looked at Daddy's head. "Is you alrights?"

Worry filled her as she looked over her Daddy's head, but she couldn't find anything wrong.

"Little one," Daddy said, laughing but she didn't pay any attention to it.

Where was he hurt? Why couldn't she find anything? Did she need to get her eyes checked?

"Sofia," Daddy said. "I'm okay. I was just messing with you."

Her eyes filled with tears as she pulled away. Why would he do that to her? She didn't want to see him hurt and she didn't want to hurt him. Why would he poke fun at her like that?

"Oh Little one," Daddy said. "I didn't mean to make you cry."

She sniffled and looked away. She shouldn't be crying over something this little, but she couldn't help herself. Sofia hadn't cried in a while and was trying to be brave for her Daddy while everything went on. Maybe this was what pushed her over the edge.

"Little one," Daddy said. "Come here."

He opened his arms wide and spread his legs further apart. She rushed into his arms, tears dripping onto his shirt as he held her.

"I know, Little one," he spoke gently. "Everything is going to be alright. I've got you."

She continued to cry into his shoulder, releasing all of the pent-up emotions she had been holding in for several days. Everything had gotten to be too much, and she had just fallen apart when she got worried, and it was all because of a joke.
