I groan as I glance away.

"Don't worry, I have someone collecting me."

"Who?"

I raise my head, and just as I'm about to tell her, I notice Jasper smirking over my shoulder, and feel the atmosphere in the room shift. Arlo has entered, and I can feel it all over my entire body.

I look back and find him standing tall in the doorway, dangerous yet sexy as heck; exuding dominance and power.

My heart skips a couple of beats as I admire him briefly, and I have a sense of twisted pride that this incredibly handsome but dark beast has claimed me as his.

Jasper stands as Arlo strides towards us, everyone glancing his way as he passes them, and Lily whispers loudly behind me.

"Who in the hell is that?"

As I respond, he keeps his piercing stare fixed on mine.

"That's Arlo."

She responds with a baffled tone.

"Who?

When he stops beside me, his strong scent tingles all of my senses, shooting straight to my core before he calmly moves his gaze away from mine to look at Jasper, who is standing in front of him with his hand extended.

Arlo shakes it strongly, while Jasper pats his shoulder with his free hand.

"How's it going, bro?I wasn't expecting to see you in a fucking diner."

Arlo basically ignores him like the rude bastard he is, and Lily unexpectedly speaks opposite me.

"You have a brother, Jasp?"

I notice that Arlo is uncomfortable here, and his dark eyes dart around at us all as if he's trying to figure out what the fuck is going on and why the hell we're together, but he doesn’t ask.

When his eyes return to mine, he indicates with his hand for me to shift over and when I do, he takes the seat beside me before smoothing his tattooed hands down the front of his damp suit.

Lil looks between me and Arlo, her eyes wide with confusion.

"Wait, how do you know Jasper's brother, Wren?"

Arlo lays his arm casually behind my seat, causing me to fidget slightly before responding to her.

"Arlo is my boss."

Her lips part in shock, her eyes widening as she blinks at him before shaking her head.

"Wow, this is a small fucking city!"

Jasper suddenly speaks with a laugh.

"That's exactly what I said. Two brothers fucking two sisters."

My eyes expand and meet him rapidly as Lily gasps.

"What?"

I give him a harsh look, but he simply smirks in response, fully aware of what he has done.
