My brow rises, a small smirk on my lips, before I glance down at her stomach, my palm slowly moving across it.

“I wouldn't miss it for the world.”

She lays her hand on mine, and I return my eyes to hers.

“I think you're going to give me a daughter.”

Her eyes soften as I continue.

“She'll look just as beautiful as you. Big brown eyes, sun-kissed skin, and dark, thick hair.”

She smiles widely as she responds.

“You'll have trouble on your hands.”

“Many lives will be fucking lost.”

As she giggles, I just stare at her, feeling completely in love with her, before tilting my head down, and we kiss passionately with her palm on the side of my neck.

It's late in the morning, and I'm in my office, waiting for Jasper, while I stare down at the small, black box in my fingers, sweeping my piercing across my lips, deep in thought.

When I hear a knock, I sit forward as I answer.

“Yeah?”

I stand as he walks in, reaching over to grasp his hand in mine before we both take a seat.

“That cop has apparently fled back to LA, Arlo.”

I give a small nod before responding.

“I know. I've got our soldiers working over there to catch him and bring him fucking back, but that's not why you're here. I need you to do something for me today.”

He rests back in the chair, glancing at me suspiciously before giving me a small nod to continue.

“I'm worried about Wren's safety right now, so I need you personally to take her shopping for me today.”

His brows raise.

“What for?”

“I've arranged for my mom to go get Cree for the day, and she'll drop him back later tonight when I text her, but Wren thinks he is staying there for the night. I want you to take her to this dress shop downtown.”

I slide a business card with the address and my Platinum credit card across the desk with my fingers, and he leans over to take it.

He looks down at it as he speaks.

“Why?”

“The assistants there are expecting her arrival and will give her whatever the fuck she wants. Make sure she doesn't hold back from spending shit on my card, and preferably sway her to pick a white dress. I've texted her, telling her we're going out tonight to an Elite Ball event, and she knows you're going to take her into the city to find something to wear.”

He eyes me suspiciously again before raising his chin.

“What fucking event?”

I sigh before placing the ring box on the desk and opening it. His mouth drops open and he leans forward to take a good look at it.

“You're fucking proposing?”
