I raise an eyebrow before resting back in my chair again.

“Don't you dare tell her shit.”

He makes a zip motion over his lips before he speaks with a wide smile.

"Congratulations, brother; I'm so fucking pleased for you.”

I give a small nod before making a head gesture toward the door.

“Now get going and make sure she enjoys herself today; I've got a ton of shit to do.”

He nods before standing, and I watch as he walks toward the door and exits.

Iclose the front door behind me and walk down the long path toward Jasper's car. When I get inside, I close the door behind me and offer Jasper a big smile.

“Hey, Jasp, How are you?”

“I'm good, thanks, and you?”

“Yeah, I'm okay.”

He gives me a smile before driving through the gates.

“Sorry, you're having to do all this. I don't understand why Arlo just didn't let me go on my own.”

“It's cool, Wren. He just wants to see you safe in the city. It's busy there, you know?”

I sigh as I rest back in the seat and glance at the road ahead.

“I guess so.”

After a short drive, we park the car before making our way to a dress shop, weaving through the traffic of busy people walking in every direction. As soon as we enter, I look around in amazement at how classy and beautiful it is.

I suddenly feel underdressed until I see a shop assistant come forward with a big, welcoming smile.

“Hey, you must be Wren?”

I shake her hand with a smile and give a small nod.

“So, a big event tonight? Do you have anything in mind?:

I give a small head shake as I respond.

“I don't have a clue on style, but I'm feeling a nice bright color, such as white or pale pink.”

“Perfect! Would you like a drink before we get started?”

“Sure! I'll just have iced water, please.”

She clicks her fingers at another assistant, who hurries toward us.

“Can you please fetch Wren some iced water?”

The assistant nods with a smile before hurrying away again.

“Okay, let's get started. We have a fantastic range of dresses in white or pale pink that will look fabulous on you.”

Jasper takes a seat on the plush couches as I pick out a couple that I like before making my way to the changing rooms.
