“That would make life easier. Thank you. Please don’t feel I was making any accusations. He is probably totally innocent, but at the moment, we have no idea who is doing this and want to make sure we have covered all bases.”

Bianca wrote down Gary’s date of birth and passed it to me. I would investigate him myself and then get Jayden to go and have a little chat with him, though I suspected he was not the person we were looking for. I was starting to have my suspicions, but I couldn’t be sure.

“Well, if that’s everything, I’m going to get Kye to take me home so I can enjoy my weekend off.”

I saw Jo smile at Abigail before she spoke.

“Doing anything nice?”

I wondered how much Abigail would say having Bianca here.

“No, I am just going to relax in a chair and read all weekend. It’s been a while since I have been able to catch up on some of my favourite authors. Have Kye wait on me.”

I raised my eyebrows at her. But the thing was, I would do anything for her. Whatever she needed, I would do. I had never felt like that with a woman before. I didn’t expect to be looked after, but I never felt as though I was there to help them.

“Well, enjoy the rest. And don’t forget to give me a call regarding the shoot.”

“Will do, Jo.”

With that, the pair of us walked out of Jo’s and headed back to my place. All the while, though, I was thinking about the prospect of heading back to Madeira and how I would feel. I guessed I wouldn’t know until I actually arrived.
