“Done talking? Want to try something else?”

Dominic felt immobilised by the kiss until his brain clicked into gear and he managed a nod. Ren pushed him down and lay at his side.

“I don’t know what I’m doing,” Dominic whispered.

“Don’t worry. I do.”

“You sure?”

Ren laughed. He kissed the edge of Dominic’s mouth, his eyelashes brushing his cheek. “Pretty sure.”

When Ren gently bit his lip, Dominic felt the pull in his belly and groaned. His fingers slid onto Ren’s back and he tugged him in as they kissed. Though tentative at first as they each found their way, once confidence grew, kissing quickly felt as natural to Dominic as breathing. Soft and slow shifted to hard and punishing, then wandered back again. They threaded their fingers in each other’s hair and kissed with mouths open, mouths closed, nibbled lips, licked and sucked, and Dominic lost awareness of everything but what they were doing.

He was hard. So was Ren. Each brush against Dominic’s cock sent his pulse soaring. When Ren rocked against him and he felt the rigid outline of Ren’s cock pressed against the hard length of his, Dominic worried that much more of that would make him come. It was as if some fiery chemical was surging through his veins, racing to every erogenous zone in his body and setting it alight. Need, desire and want coiled and twisted like snakes writhing in his gut. Too fast, too soon, but he couldn’t pull back. He screamedmorein his head.

But Ren did pull back. He pressed his forehead to Dominic’s. “That…” he panted, “…I hadn’t expected.”

Dominic swallowed hard. Had he done something wrong? Not reacted in the right way? Kissed too hard, not hard enough? Uncertainty swamped him.

“Not you, idiot. Me,” Ren said. “Oh God, you are so hot. All I want to do is keep kissing you. I mean, I want to do more but we’re not exactly somewhere private. With my luck, a herd of tourists will turn up with a guide who’s anxious to show them Asquith’s folly.”

“You need to stop talking,” Dominic choked out.Because if you don’t, I’m going to come, then run.

“Good idea.” Ren kissed him again and Dominic clutched him as hard as Ren was clutching him.

Dominic copied, then led and played with Ren as they consumed each other in a greedy binge, which was followed by a session of teasing with kisses so gentle that Dominic’s stone-cold heart began the journey back to life, chiselled into something meaningful like one of his brother’s carvings.

Ren kissed his neck, his ears, the line of his jaw before settling back on his mouth. A storm raged inside Dominic, a crackling energy building in intensity with every second that passed. Ren slid his hands up Dominic’s neck to cradle his head, angled his mouth and kissed him again. The different position made Dominic’s heart lurch. How is kissing so great?

Their tongues twisted and caressed and teased until they were struggling for air, but they didn’t stop, just kept going, arms around each other, bodies rocking and pressing together because it was impossible to keep still. Until finally, Ren whispered, “We’re being watched.”

Dominic froze, fighting not to panic.

“Don’t move quickly,” Ren muttered. “But turn your head left. It’s not a herd of tourists so no need to freak out.”

A fox sat watching them from no more than a car’s length away. Dominic was mesmerised. Was this Isla?

“Do foxes attack humans?” Ren asked. “Are you going to protect me?”

“You can handle it. It’s probably looking for tips on how to kiss.”

Ren’s loud laugh sent the fox scurrying off. Ren rolled onto his back, still laughing, and flung his arm over his eyes.

“Now it’s disappointed it’s not getting tips on anything else,” Dominic said.

Ren moved his arm and looked across at him. “You think he needs tips.”

“It was a female.”

Ren groaned and sat up. “Are you okay?”

I don’t know. Yes and no.Partly thankful for the arrival of the fox and partly frustrated.

“Dominic!” That was Col shouting, but from a distance.

He and Ren looked at each other, then pushed to their feet and brushed themselves down.

“Now I know why your brother’s so protective,” Ren said. “Can I have your number?”
