“Hm,” she hums and, to my surprise, turns over. Not without flashing me a smirk, though. “Next time, I’ll make you battle harder for it.”
Khaldun growls at her words, loving the challenge. I grab her hips and plunge into her before she has properly settled in her position. It makes her almost drop down on her stomach. She moans. “Fuck, Arman, that’s so hot,” she breathes out. “Yes, faster,” she spurs me on as I fuck her relentlessly. She pushes her ass back against me and clenches her muscles around my dick.
“You feel so good,” I groan.
“You too,” she pants, moaning when I change my angle and find her sweet spot. “Yes, there!”
I keep it up for a few more minutes, her moans spurring me to keep going longer and pushing her over the edge first. Her fingers tighten around the pillow she is holding onto, and she moans my name. I try to let her ride her orgasm out, trying to delay my own until I can’t hold it back anymore.
I come inside her, filling her with my seed.
I pull out of her, exhausted, and drop down on my back. Harmony curls up at my side and smiles. “And, more relaxed now?”
“Yes.” I chuckle. “But also tired.”
“That’s the point,” she smiles.
“So I have really been out the whole afternoon?”
She nods. “But this time, you weren’t looking as drained. Also, I could feel you much more through our bond.” She pecks my chest. “You did really well, it seems. Although you had weird scratches all over your arms.”
Her words confuse me first before I remember it again. The cat. The chase. The lynx!
“The lynx!?” I blurt out. “Goddess, is she—”
“She is fine,” Harmony reassures me. “You returned with her. Your power is truly unique, Arman.”
“There is a lot to tell everyone,” I mutter. “It was a weird experience once more.”
“Tomorrow,” she says. “For now, I need you to rest and regather your senses.”
The first thing I do the following day after taking a shower with Harmony is meet the others for breakfast and tell them all that happened in Auset’s mind. I’m not a teen anymore, yet when Elden looks at me approvingly, I can’t help but feel a bit proud. He is the closest to a father I ever had and the only mentor I ever had. It feels good to have him approve of my work.
“You did very well,” he tells me. “Good job.”
“For real.” Anthony sounds impressed, too. “It looked like you were sleeping, and then you jolted up and suddenly had that lynx in your arms.”
“How does this even work?” Elise asks curiously. “You have a crazy gift, Arman.”
“Would you mind lending your gift to the Council occasionally?” Elodie asks. “We know it’s draining you, so it would just be for emergencies.”
“Of course,” I answer promptly. “I would love to help.”
Elden sighs a bit at my words but doesn’t say anything. Harmony reacts similarly but then smiles at me. “The Council has a base here now. Maybe go with Elodie and Elise once and meet them?”
But you are not happy with my decision?I ask her.
That’s not it,she reassures me.I’m so proud of you and of how much you want to help. I’m just scared that sometimes you might want to give too much, and it will destroy you.
That first time in Auset’s mind had to be truly scary for those around me, I realize. Marcel later told me I was out completely and lying on the ground, shivering like I was having an epileptic seizure. Harmony’s worries make much more sense now, so do Elden’s.
It wasn’t my intention to drain myself like I did the first time,I admit.I promise it was an accident.
You need to be more prepared, though, she tells me.I understand you wanted to help, but you never entered a comatose patient’s mind before. It makes sense that it’s different to a sleeping person.
She is right. In a way, I was reckless.I will make sure it won’t happen again.
She smiles at me.I know. I trust you.
