Aurelia and I almost double over laughing while Aenon looks flustered.

With everyone dressed again, the remaining warriors of Blood Snow who surrendered are taken into custody by Elden and his pack and will be brought to the dungeons of Silverlake for now. There is probably a lengthy trial awaiting many members of this pack, but finally, justice will be served.

While Elden and the others organize everything, Flora, with Trixie fluttering around her, runs towards me and hugs me. “I’m so sorry, my dear,” she whispers. “I’m so sorry I had to let you fall.”

“I know.” I wrap my arms around her, squeezing her. I realize she knew what would happen but couldn’t tell me about it. What a difficult gift to have. “I understand now. It had to happen.” I smile brightly. “And I’m so happy it did.”

Flora brushes over my hair softly. “I told you, it’s nothing bad.”

I chuckle. “It’s hard to shake the anxiety off sometimes.”

“So, can you forgive me?”

“There is nothing to forgive.” I laugh happily. I connected with who I am and found two men linked to my father and blood-related to me. That’s one lucky turn of events.

When Ludovica and the others approach us, I wave at them excitedly, introducing everyone to them. I know it’s a lot to take in. Most of us grew up with a basic education; they know little about other packs. But even we can easily recognize someone with power, so it’s not difficult for them to recognize Elden and Liam for who they are. I tell them everything about the undercover mission and who our guests actually are.

“To imagine we believed that your Lord Finn was just a beta’s heir.” Gina grins.

“I wasn’t particularly convinced from the moment they arrived.” Ludovica chuckles softly. “A spell or potion might have suppressed his aura, but still… there are things you can’t hide. And he had the air of a true leader around him.”

Elden and Flora smile with pride at hearing Finn being praised, and it’s cute to see them so happy that Finn gets the recognition he deserves.

“I agree,” Leila says. “Also, the two pairs of twins. The male twins were too strong to be of lower rank. And the girls, of course, this pack didn’t think girls could have special powers… but my lycan told me they probably practiced witchcraft.” She has shifted too by now and is clad in a beautiful red tunic.

Aenon seems to be smitten instantly. “Milady,” he stutters. “It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance.”

Leila smiles at him, equally fascinated by the beautiful man. “Finally, men other than the disgusting perpetrators of this pack.” she hums in appreciation.

“You and Lord Arman were in on it, weren’t you?” Ludovica wants to know.

Leila smiles. “We may or may not have helped Freya and the others escape.”

Gina and Emmanuel come forward now to hug me. “Where is Ryllis?” Gina asks, looking worried.

“She is safe,” I say with a smile. “She is with her mate and has already moved to a new pack.”

“I wish I could see her again.” Gina sighs.

“You will,” I promise. “Just give her a little more time.”

“This is a day to celebrate.” Ludovica smiles. “I’ll prepare lunch immediately and then a feast for everyone tonight.”

“So long as all of you will join us,” Flora tells her with a smile.

Ludovica’s gentle eyes swim with tears. “I never imagined this would ever be possible…”

“No one will terrorize you ever again,” Elden says earnestly. “We’ll ensure to convict everyone who contributed to the abuse and sexual harassment. You and the other regular pack members are free to roam around to your liking.”

“Who will be alpha?” Ludovica asks carefully. “Benjamin?”

“No,” Elden says with finality. “I already sent some men to find him. We’ll not execute him, as he is not guilty of his father’s crimes. However, he will be stripped of his rank and sent to another pack, far away from here.”

Relief is seen on everyone’s faces.

“Ludovica,” I ask quietly. “Is he… you know…” I pause. “Benjamin…”

“My son?” she asks. “No. He is the son of an unfortunate young woman the alpha took as a chosen mate. He killed her after she fulfilled her duty of giving birth to a son. I nursed him while he was a baby.”
