Frankie laughs brightly when she joins us. She is clad in black tights and one of Anders’ shirts, which is far too big on her. And she is sporting a brand-new mark.

“Wow, that was fast,” Odette comments.

“What can I say?” Frankie giggles while she ties her wild hair back. “I had a horrible guy already, and this one is one of the good ones. So, I wanted to claim him as fast as possible. Man, girls… I tell you… Anders is like… wow.” She indicates how big Anders is built with her hands, making us all giggle.

Emmanuel grins. “Well, I can’t complain either.”

“Same,” I join in their silly talk.

“Wow, we’ve reached penis comparisons,” Odette states dryly.

“Good for you. Meanwhile, the only virgin at the table can only imagine having sex,” Gina mutters. Somehow, her words set me at ease; I knew Colton’s men assaulted her, but it seems they didn’t rape her. Not that it makes what happened to her any better. It’s still atrocious and sickening what his men did.

Frankie elbows her. “Oh, I’ve heard some Silverlake warriors think you’re cute.”

“Really?” She beams. “Which ones?”

“The one with the blonde hair,” Odette muses. “And one of the men that was with Luna Flora.”

“How do you literally know everything about everyone?” I ask with a chuckle.

“It’s a gift,” she says. “I don’t know what it is, but they all come to me with their problems. No complaints, though. I like it.”

“It’s true.” Frankie giggles. “Odette’s place is like the hot spot of the pack. If you have a crush, you visit Odette. If you want the newest rumors; Odette. The latest pack news; Odette.”

Odette shrugs. “I told you it’s a gift.”

I’m about to say something to her when Finn’s mind link reaches me.We’re at the pack borders right now.

Is everyone safe?I ask in worry.I hope no one got hurt!

The others look at me curiously; only Emmanuel seems to catch on. “Did they return?” he whispers.

I nod.

No one is hurt,Finn says.Well, aside from… it’s a bit difficult to explain. Please have some rooms prepared and notify the pack doctor. Also, I’ll probably need Ludovica and maybe another pack member who is well-informed.

Well-informed about what?I ask, surprised, wondering what he was getting at.

Someone who has intel about who went missing during the last few years, where they lived, their families, that sort of thing.

I blink, looking at Odette. Talk about coincidence.I have just the right person for you. I’ll get everything prepared.

I stand up abruptly. “Sorry, there is work for me. Odette, the alpha needs you and your special gift, as you call it.”

“My knowledge about rumors?” Odette blinks.

“Exactly.”

There is little time to explain everything, not that I know much. I have Frankie link Anders to join me and then have her and Gina find some maids to prepare the guest rooms. Emmanuel runs to find Ludovica, while I tell Odette the little I know.

“Missing members?” she asks in surprise while she follows me downstairs to the huge front door of the pack house.

Before we step outside, Ludovica and Emmanuel join us. We can hear voices outside, gasps of surprise, and people calling out for others. The commotion attracts more and more pack members. This is going to be interesting, I think, as I open the door.

Outside, my eyes land on Finn instantly—he is always the first I notice—his group of warriors and a small group of rogues.

My mouth drops open.
