For a moment, it’s silent, until Isaac gets up and carefully limps toward Matthew. “Isaac,” he points at himself.

“I got that much already,” Matthew mutters. When I glare at him, he clears his throat. “Thank you.”

Isaac points at Ethan. “Beef jerky.”

My warriors look surprised before they burst into laughter.

“My name’s Ethan,” Ethan tries to explain.

“Jerky,” Isaac states.

Ethan sighs, making the others laugh again. Some of the rogues seem to relax, too, looking amused.

Isaac might sound like he almost went insane, but he protected this group for a long time, and once again, he sets the example by stepping forward to tell Matthew his name. So, one by one, the others follow, telling Matthew their names and the reason they became rogues. Only two were banished because they stole something, but I stick to my promise and let it pass, reminding them they should never do it again.

Three wolves of the group of fifteen were not from Blood Snow, but were part of a very small pack that Colton attacked years ago. The two witches stayed here because of their mates.

I nod as Matthew wraps everything up. “Alright,” I say to the group. “Let’s go home.”

I’mnotexactlysurewhat Finn did or where he went; all I know is that he wanted to tackle the rogue problem. I’m nervous and anxious, but I try to trust him. He is the alpha of the pack now, and if his luna can’t trust him, then no one will.

So, I put my faith in him. Finn isn’t reckless, and I know he has a plan.

The surprise of the day though, is Odette visiting me in the pack house and telling me she wants to divorce her not-so-chosen mate—one of the warriors currently imprisoned. Afterward, several more she-wolves appeared with the same desire.

I make sure I get all their names, promising I’ll help to get them released from their forced bonds within the next few days.

Once everyone has left, I decide to have an afternoon coffee with Odette and Gina, reminiscing about the day we were trying on the dresses. The day that changed it all for me.

Gina waves excitedly when she sees Emmanuel approaching us. “Come, sit with us unless you are too busy jumping your mate.”

“I wish I could.” Emmanuel chuckles. “But Matthew went with Alpha Finn.”

“I can sympathize,” I mutter.

Gina and Odette exchange a glance. “First world problems,” Odette points out.

“For real,” Gina grumbles. “Oh nooo, what a pity for you that your hot mates aren’t here.”

“And to top it all off, Frankie found her mate too,” Odette points out. “That ginger-haired hulk. Our new beta.”

“Anders?” I exclaim. I can’t believe Finn didn’t tell me! He told me he would be away all day but couldn’t spare five seconds to tell me this freaking fantastic news! Men are unbelievable. “They will be so cute together.”

“You know him?” Emmanuel asks.

“Yes, he is Finn’s beta, a quiet and nice guy.”

“Poor guy.” Odette chuckles. “He will have his hands full with Frankie. She is the exact opposite.”

Right on cue, Frankie peeks into the meeting room. She grins brightly. “I thought I heard your voices. Is there a cup of coffee for me too?”

“Come on in.” Gina waves at her.
