“Have a seat.” I extended my hand to the chair once occupied Christian.
She took long strides like she was on a runway. She gracefully lowered herself into the comfortable leather chair. I was so happy she didn’t try to kiss or hug me. That would’ve been awkward. I wasn’t an affectionate person and hated faking it.
“You know this is the first time I’ve ever been to your office.”
“Is that right.”
“Yes, it’s nice in here.”
“Yeah. I needed to see you.”
“I needed to see you too.” She smiled seductively but it had no effect on me. I’s been there and done that. Her sex was maybe a six at best.
“This isn’t working out.” I tossed the grenade. “I think we need to go our separate ways.”
“So what does that mean?” She sincerely looked confused. They always do. Women always see what they want to see and read more into these brief encounters.
“It’s pretty clear.” I added. “I don’t want to see you anymore. I removed your access to my place.”
“Why?”
Why does it matter? “I’m no longer interested in you.”
“Hold on a minute.” She leaned forward pushing her breast in my direction. “Lordes, what does that mean?”
“You’re a smart girl. You know exactly what it means.” Was she a smart girl? I really didn’t know. We had more sex than conversations.
“I don’t.” She hesitated trying to find the right words but there were none as far as I was concerned. “What did I do? What happened?”
“Does something have to happen? We had sex a few times and now that’s over.”
“What the fuck? Did I do something? You haven’t explained this drastic change in your behavior.”
“Caroline, I’ve known you for a few weeks.”
“Three weeks almost four!” She was quick to correct me.
I shrugged. “And that’s long enough. I’ve seen all I have to see. Heard all I needed to hear.” Fucked all I needed to fuck— you.
“What the fuck happened? What did I do? This makes no sense. We just saw each other last night. You’ve never even had an argument. We are great together.”
“I don’t know what to tell you.”
“The truth. The fucking truth would be great.” She pouted.
I could never tell her she sucked in bed and was just a pretty face. That would be mean. I could never tell her that her voice annoyed me. That would be bad. Instead I just will keep all those things to myself. I didn’t remember her last name; my assistant kept track of all that stuff.
“Caroline, you can keep all the gifts I’ve given you and I have this.” I reached down on my desk and grabbed the check my assistant issued that I signed. I handed it across the desk to Caroline. She looked down at my hand for a bit longer that she should before removed the check from my hand.
“What is this?” Caroline’s eyes read the check. I was sure she’d seen a check before. She was pretty but I wouldn’t have fucked her if I thought she was dumb.
“Money. Money for you. The sex was great.” That was a lie but I wanted to make her feel better about this situation. It probably had the opposite effect. Next time I’ll just be quiet.
“Ten thousand dollars. What is this for?”
“Whatever you want it to be for.”
“Are you trying to buy me? I’m not a prostitute.”
