"She's extraordinary, indeed. As much of a lost cause I had thought of myself with regards to relationships, meeting her has set me straight. Maybe that's all it takes, meeting the right woman," I say confidently.

"Wow! I bet she's the envy of every woman in this country," she jokes.

I shake my head.

"I'm the lucky one," I say.

I can't believe how cheesy I am with this interview, but those are my most honest thoughts. I didn't even have to think of those answers because it's like they're already at the forefront of my mind.

The interview eventually ends. Katherine looks so pleased, she thanks me again for agreeing to the interview. I'm not going to lie, though. I'm a little embarrassed about revealing my soft side to the country, but it all worked out for the best.

As soon as the interview gets featured, I notice a lot more people willing to invest in our company, along with our charity projects. It's like they can't wait to throw money at us. It makes the bit of embarrassment that I felt during the interview very much worth it.

My thoughts drift to my new family, and I smile to myself like an idiot.

I sigh, contentedly. Yes, very much worth it indeed.

Thirty-Three

Sonya

It has been a dream of mine to wear a wedding dress that I have designed. Maybe it's part of being a fashion designer, but I can't imagine myself wearing anyone else's creation.

"You look beautiful," my mom says proudly.

"Thank you," I reply, unable to keep the mega-watt smile from my face.

As I look at myself over the mirror, I can't help the overwhelming happiness that I feel. I decided to go with a rippling embroidered skirt with a scooped back lining, lace trimmings with a sequence on the bodice, topped with a delicate tulle veil, to complete the fairy tale look that I'm going for.

I chose this design because I feel like I'm living the life of a fairy tale princess. My dreams have come true. I get the chance to design beautiful clothes, all the while, still having time to spend with Lauralee. I feel so happy, relaxed, and content. Even my skin has a beautiful, radiant glow.

I'm now a partner to the company.

I feel so blessed, being able to do what I love while being with the people that I love the most. And all of this is thanks to the man who unexpectedly swept me off my feet. Now here I am, about to walk the aisle, ready to spend the rest of my life with him.

My mother, who looks to be overwhelmed with emotion, starts sobbing.

"I'm just so happy for you and Lauralee," she says, blowing her nose on a tissue.

I chuckle, "Mom, stop with the waterworks already." I tell her.

She nods, dabbing some tissue at the sides of her eyes.

"Do I still look alright?" she asks.

I laugh.

"Yes, mom. You do. It's a good thing we got you the waterproof mascara, huh?" I tell her, teasingly.

"Yes, good idea on that one. I think I'll be bawling my eyes again before you say your vows," she says.

Someone knocks at the door. The door opens and in waltzes my sister, Sasha, with Lauralee and our father. Sasha takes a good look at me and throws herself at me in a bone-crushing hug.

"You look so beautiful. I'm so happy for you, sis," she says, pulling away slightly to get another look at me.

I smile at her.

"Thank you, Sasha," I say.
