Lauralee joins in on the hug.

"Wow, mommy. Daddy is going to fall in love with you even more," she says, smiling widely.

I chuckle.

"You look so adorable in that dress," I say.

She giggles.

"Of course, mommy. You designed it, after all," she says, twirling to show it off.

Dad clears his throat.

"I couldn't be prouder of you, Sonya. You've grown into such a fine young woman," he says, looking as though he's going to start crying as well.

"Oh, dad. Thank you. And not you too. Mom just started crying a couple of minutes ago," I say, trying to lighten the mood.

"It's a good thing I don't wear make-up then," he says, sniffling slightly.

I laugh.

"Okay, dad. Cry all you want, but it's going to look funny in the photos," I say.

He huffs.

"More memories to laugh about then," he replies.

My parents, always so emotional when it comes to my sister and me. I guess it shows how much they love us.

"I came here since it's time, Sonya," dad says, offering his elbow for me to hold.

The rest of my family go ahead, leaving dad and me to walk slowly to the church entrance.

"Congratulations, Sonya. You'll always be my baby girl," he says, his voice cracking slightly.

"Of course, dad. I love you too," I say.

We reach the entrance, and the music starts playing. Everyone's already here.

We walk slowly down the aisle when my eyes lock with Grant's. His jaw drops slightly at the sight of me, I stifle a giggle at his reaction.

He looks so handsome in his suit. I give him a smile, and he returns one just as easily. We don't take our eyes off each other. Before I know it, I'm already in front of him.

"You look so beautiful, Sonya," he whispers in my ear.

I smile at his words. The priest calls for our attention. We turn towards the altar, my heart is beating so frantically. This is what I've been waiting for. We're finally getting married.

The ceremony goes on. When the time comes for us to say our vows, it's Grant that goes first.

He takes my hand in his and looks me in the eyes. They are filled with so much love that I almost start to cry.

"Sonya, I never knew the true meaning of happiness until I met you. You set me straight and got me to believe in love. You and your daughter are the best things that ever happened to me. I promise to always love and take care of the both of you," he says, looking at me so tenderly that I want to just kiss him.

"Grant, falling in love, was never part of the plan. For the longest time, it has always been just me and Lauralee against the world. Then you showed up. Not only did you help me realize my dreams, but you helped me realize Lauralee's as well. She's always wanted to have a father, and you loved her and treated her as your own. I love you, Grant. I promise to always do so," I say, trying to keep my voice from shaking.

"Do you, Grant Fields, take Sonya Lynx to be your lawfully wedded wife?" the priest asks Grant.

"I do," he says immediately without hesitation.
