“I’m pretty boring, too.”

Honor laughed.

“What?” Silver asked, laughing a little herself.

“You are anything but boring.”

“Because I have sex and I’m not ashamed of it?”

“No, you’re also a great artist who has this cool loft with, like, a door that slides because, of course, you have that. I have a one-bedroom apartment with plain-white walls and an oven that takes an hour to pre-heat.”

“You think my apartment makes me cool, and yours makes you boring?” Silver asked.

“You just have this thing about you, like a mystique or something, that I could never have. I go to work at a boring job.”

“That you love,” Silver argued.

“Yes, but it’s also boring at times. Others think it’s boring all the time. I see my sister sometimes, and I have a couple of friends, but not many, especially the really good ones. I haven’t been on a date in over a year, and I can’t seem to swipe in the right direction on women I might actually want to meet with because I’m too scared. You don’t seem scared of anything.”

Silver swallowed because she was a little scared right now. In her life, massages generally happened to get a woman loosened up for what would come after. They also weren’t typically done fully clothed on her couch as she kept to the shoulder region of the woman’s body. Honor was doing something to her, though, and it wasn’t unwelcome. It was a little scary.

“I’m human, like everyone else. I have fears, too. They just might not be the same as most people’s.”

“You go after what you want, though, don’t you?”

“Generally, yeah. It’s just easier that way. Why hide it, you know? Otherwise, I’d risk not getting what I want. And what I want isn’t hurting anyone else, so why not just go for it and be happy? I’m not just talking about sex, by the way. I mean other things, too. Like, if I want to eat fatty food all the time, why not? It’s not hurting anyone else, and it makes me happy.”

“It could also kill you younger,” Honor suggested.

“Yes, but I work out a lot,” Silver teased and kissed Honor’s neck. “As you know.”

“I thought we weren’t talking about that…”

“I meant at the gym. Did I not tell you that I go to the gym a few times a week?”

Honor laughed a little and said, “No, you failed to mention that.”

“I hit one up at least three times a week and try to put in an hour or two if I have the time. This week, I’ve been a little busy, but I usually like to get in some cardio and some weights when I can.”

“That’s why you look how you do.”

“How do I look?”

“Hot.”

“Oh, yeah?” Silver laughed. Then, she reached down with one hand and tickled Honor’s side, earning a laugh in response. “You’re crazy hot, too, you know? It’s why Alec has a crush on you.”

“I’m not hot,” Honor replied. “Maybe pretty when I try, but you’ve never woken up next to me and this hair in the morning, so you don’t know what–”

“Stay over.”

“What?”

Honor went to turn in her arms, but Silver kept her in place and went back to massaging her shoulders.

“Stay over, Honor. Let me be the judge of that hair. And you have no idea how sexy you are. God, when I saw you that first night, I wished I wasn’t in charge of the show. I wanted to take you outside and press you against the wall. I wanted my hands on you. I wanted to eat you out and let you scream loud enough for the whole city to hear you. That was just from looking at you.”

“Silver…” Honor shifted a little, and Silver knew why.
