He fucking took her.

I am on my knees, my hands and head are pressed into the floor. I can’t breathe. My chest hurts and all I can do is let out a choked scream every now and again.

“Xavi,” I hear Red’s soft voice and I can’t even bear to look at her. “Xavier, what’s happened?” I hear her footsteps closing in and my heart skips a beat.

I can’t move.

“Sit up!” she demands, and I do as she says, pushing up onto my knees. Anger boils deep within me. She sits on the edge of Amora’s bed and stares me down and fuck, is she beautiful.

“Amora is gone…” I finally managed and saying the words aloud cripple me. “Titus took her away… The Knight Brothers are coming for her…” I whisper waiting for her to say something.

“Good,” she snaps, standing up.

“Good?” I rage, pushing to my feet and pull her to face me.

“Yes, good. I am glad Titus took her, now you can beat yourself up about it and deal with the consequences.” She flicks her hair over her shoulder and begins to walk towards the door.

“This wasn’t supposed to happen. I had a whole plan… he’s fucked it. I have no idea what The Knight Brothers will do when they turn up tomorrow and she isn’t here.”

“Tomorrow?” Royal spins round, her brows furrowed as her eyes narrow on mine.

“Tomorrow,” I breathe, my voice thick and my heart thumps in my chest, a pain ripping through me as if my heart is being sliced in two.

“Xavier,” she whispers, and she gives me this look, pure heartbreak and complete disgust. Disappointment floods her and I feel it in my soul. Her head falls forward and she shakes it from side to side. I have no words. They fail me completely.

“Royal,” I hear Betty’s voice, she glares at me on the floor with pure hatred and I swear that wench is going to outlive me.

CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX

TITUS

I lay in bed, my eyes pinned to the ceiling when my phone pings.

Nate

All okay? N x

I smile.

Titus

All in and settled. Thank you again for sorting this out for me. How is Arizona? I feel awful as I haven’t spoken to her in a couple of days.

I watch as the dots appear.

Nate

She is fine. We explained that things escalated, and she seemed to understand. Keaton has hardly seen her; she has been so busy but her food is being eaten so he knows she is coming home lol.

I smile.

Titus

I miss you all. I can’t wait to be back home with you all.
