“I’m not one to kiss and tell.”

“Darlin’.” He flipped her on her back, and she couldn’t help the giggles that escaped her. “Tell me what you’ve fantasized.”

Sky chewed on her bottom lip. Should she? Why not? It wasn’t like they hadn’t already christened his kitchen counter, dining room table, living room couch, shower, and every square inch of his bed.

“I really liked the desk in your office.”

Nick growled before nipping at her lips. “Do you know how hard it is not to picture you with your skirt around your waist and bent over my desk every time I’m working?”

“I’m sorry to be such a distraction.”

“You’re well worth it.”

“Maybe we could... revisit your office before I leave.”

Nick’s blue eyes darkened seconds before he entered her. He hadn’t given her a warning, and she hadn’t needed one. She was more than ready for him. His gaze stayed locked on hers as they moved slowly, keeping the steady rhythm while not losing eye contact.

She’d never made love like this before. Joined not only physically but in mind and spirit as well. Nick touched her in places no man had ever touched her before. Deep, deep into the cavern of her heart. The depth of her core.

He filled her lungs and overpowered her mind with his sweet, simple kisses until her lungs burst with release, screaming his name. Sky clutched his shoulders and rammed her heels into the backs of his thighs pulling him closer, needing him closer so not a particle of air could slip between them.

Sometime while she was shouting his name and coming down from her high, he’d found his release as well. Nick placed sweaty kisses on her forehead, then her closed eyes.

“Don’t move,” he whispered in her ear before rolling off her.

“Even if I wanted to...” she let her legs and arms go limp beside her and watched him go into the bathroom. She’d been too lost in all that was Nick to even think about protection, so she was glad to see he’d covered himself. She had no idea when but was thankful he had enough common sense to make sure Gabby didn’t have a brother or sister before she turned one.

Sky rolled to her side and frowned. Not that she wanted another baby right now, but she didn’t want her daughter to be an only child. It was hard moving from foster home to foster home on her own knowing she had no parents, no siblings.

Or at least none that were alive. None that she could talk to, who could give her advice, fight with her, hug her.

The mattress dipped behind her, and then Nick’s warm, strong arms wrapped around her. “Sweet dreams, Skylar.”

His rhythmic breathing told her he was asleep, and she drifted off moments later. and the next thing she knew, she was as well.
