I looked over to where the sound had come from and knew my mind had to be playing tricks on me.
There was Lily.
My Lily.
Except, she wasn't my Lily. She was dressed in some sort of two toned dress. One half was a little black slip that left practically nothing to the imagination. The other half was gold metallic that cinched around her waist, and she paired it with strappy sandals with laces that went all the way up her thighs.
She was posing with another party girl, blowing a kiss to the camera. She turned around, and I could see that her makeup was more than done. She had on intense winged eyeliner and bright red lipstick. She didn't look a thing like my Tiger Lily, and she wasn't behaving like it either.
"Let me get in on this action," Scissors said, walking between the two girls and throwing an arm around each one. The one to his left he grabbed around the shoulder, but what he did to Lily had my vision turning red.
He grabbed her around her waist, pulled her into him, nipped at her ear and then moved his hand down to squeeze her ass.
And she didn't fucking blink.
She just giggled and ate it the fuck up.
My fists clenched and unclenched as I tried to stop myself from murdering Scissors. My more logical side lost out, and I made my way over to him.
"The hell's the meaning of this?" I said, putting a hand on his shoulder and wrenching him away from Lily.
"Hey!" the other girl yelped as she went for a little tumble. Lily just stood there, her hands on her hips, and glared at me.
"What do you mean?" Scissors asked, playing dumb and pushing my hand off his shoulder.
"You know what I fucking mean," I spat.
"Just stay out of it, Rock." I turned at the sound of her voice. Had Lily just really called me Rock? She'd never once done that, despite knowing what my nickname was. She'd called me by my first name even around others as they were calling me Rock.
"The fuck happened to you?" I asked, my anger getting the better of me and lashing out at her. I just couldn't believe that she would allow Scissors to touch her like that. Why was she even here? Why was she dressed like this? I just couldn't make sense of it.
She gave me an exasperated look. "What? Am I supposed to just stay home and cry over you? Is that what you thought would happen?"
I could feel my teeth grind against each other as she continued to say things that I could feel in my chest.
"Well, too bad. That's not me."
"Oh, that's not you," I said. "But this is?" I gestured to her getup.
Scissors pulled her in close to him again and planted a kiss to her cheek. "Don't listen to him, babe. You look like a fucking present in Gucci. One I plan to unwrap later," he said with a smirk.
"Like fuck you'll touch her." My fist wound back, but it was stopped from going forward and crunching into Scissors' face.
I turned around and Paper had linked his entire arm around my forearm. "Might I suggest we go upstairs and talk about this where there aren't prying eyes?" His voice was calm but left no room for argument.
We all followed him up the stairs towards the club room. Scissors kept his arm around Lily's shoulder the entire time, joking and whispering things into her ear as they climbed the stairs last. The entire thing made me sick.
When we were all finally inside the room with the door closed, I was about to start yelling, but Paper immediately put up his hand.
"Scissors, an explanation?"
Scissors sat down on the chair and patted his knee. Lily giggled like one of the stupid girls I hated and sat down, throwing her arms around his shoulders.
"What's there to explain?" he asked.
Paper let out an audible sigh and raised his eyebrow. "Please don't tell me you're that inept at reading social situations."
"I mean I get it," Scissors said. "But like, Rock can't go around saying that no one can date a girl just cause he doesn't want to anymore. That's not fair to us, and it's not fair to her. Dunno what to tell you man, but I guess we fell for one another at the last party."
