Comments started streaming in and she flipped it around. I peered over her shoulder.

Oh my God. Is that Duran Esposito??

Isn’t he kind of a slut?

Damn, those forearms though.

She burst out laughing and clapped her hand over her mouth. I snatched her phone and tossed it aside. She wriggled after it and I snatched her around the waist and tossed her playfully against the pillows. Her mouth met mine in a slow kiss that left us both breathless.

“I’d like to finish what I started,” I murmured, dipping my hips to drag my erection over her pussy. “Time to make you mine.”

CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE

IRIS

I felt like shit when I finally cracked an eye open. The room was far too bright, but I could smell waffles. I was just hungover enough that I wanted to stay huddled under the covers, but not enough that I wasn’t starving. I poked my head out.

He walked out of the bathroom, already dressed. I could tell he’d showered because his slicked hair was wet.

My heart pattered, despite my headache.

I lifted my hand, the giant diamond glittering on my finger. For the first time in my life, I felt free and secure.

“Having regrets?” he asked, brow raised.

“Nope,” I said, flipping my hand and wriggling my fingers so my ring caught the light. “Are you?”

“Never.”

He knelt on the bed and kissed my forehead. My brain went still and I slid my arms around his neck and buried my face against his chest. He held me for a long time before pulling back.

“How’re you feeling?”

“Honestly, not as bad as I anticipated. Breakfast and Tylenol will fix me up.”

“I ordered you both,” he said, gesturing to the other side of the room. By the door was a dining cart with a silver cover. My stomach rumbled as the smell of coffee hit my nose.

“You’re the best,” I said, kissing him and snuggling back against the pillows.

“Huh, not so long ago I was the worst.”

“Well, you were back then. I changed my mind.”

“A few dozen orgasms will do that to you.”

I rolled my eyes. “You’re so full of yourself.”

“No, I’m just a fool for you, princess,” he said, his eyes going soft.

I rolled my eyes. He was so smooth and he knew it. I couldn’t stop blushing as he brought me a plate and a cup of hot coffee with cream and sugar. I took the Tylenol and washed it down with some ice water before digging into waffles and eggs. He lingered by the window, distracted by something on his phone.

“Is everything okay?” I asked.

He looked up. “Better,” he said. “We’re in the clear.”

“Wait…really? Just like that?”

He shrugged, a look of disbelief on his face. “Just like that. You saved our asses with the picture you posted online last night. The boss thought it was funny.”
