“I was looking to see what beer they had on tap, and some asshole ran into me and knocked me into the woman, and her drink spilled all over her dress.”
“Are you sure that’s what really happened?” Conner’s brow arched.
“Shut up, douchebag.” I laughed. “That’s exactly what happened.”
As I sipped my scotch, I noticed she stole small glances at me. Brown wavy shoulder-length hair, gorgeous blue eyes, a perfectly shaped nose, and full lips made her incredibly beautiful.
“Earth to Grayson.” Gabriel snapped his fingers.
“I’m sorry. What were you saying?”
“I think someone is as smitten as a kitten.” Conner grinned.
I furrowed my brows at him for a moment. “Shouldn’t you be checking on your daughter?”
“Good idea.” He pulled his phone from his pocket.
“Thanks a lot, cousin.” Christian shook his head.
I glanced at the woman and noticed her walking over to our table.
“Hi.” She smiled. “I got to thinking about how you offered to pay for my dry cleaning bill. But what you didn’t offer was to buy me another drink. I’ll take that in exchange for the dry cleaning.”
“I can do that.” I smiled. “I’m sorry I didn’t think of that in the first place.”
“I saved us two seats at the bar.” She smiled.
“Go, bro.” Gabriel grinned as he patted my back.
I stood up, grabbed my scotch, and followed her back to the bar.
“What are you drinking?” The corners of my mouth curved upward.
“Gin and Tonic.”
I held up my finger to get the bartender’s attention.
“What can I get you?” he asked.
“A Gin and Tonic for the lovely lady. I’ll have a refill on my scotch.” I slid the glass toward him.
“What’s your name?” she asked with a flirty smile.
“Grayson. Yours?”
“I’m Freya.” She extended her hand.
“It’s nice to meet you, Freya.” I placed my hand in hers.
She gripped it tight and pulled me closer to her.
“This is what’s going to happen, Grayson. After we finish our drinks, you’re going to take me back to my place, and we’re going to end this night with a bang, literally.” A sexy smile crossed her lips.
“I think that can be arranged.” Our eyes stayed locked on each other as the corners of my mouth curved upward.
After the bartender set our drinks down, Freya picked up her glass and held it up.
“To the night.” She grinned.
