We stood at the entrance of the elegantly decorated tent adorned with fairy lights, twinkling and creating what looked like a starlit sky. Soft canopies of tulle and sheer drapery gathered in the center and tied with elegant bows, making the space an ambiance of romance.
“Let’s give a round of applause to Dr. and Mrs. Kind,” the DJ announced.
The crowd shouted and clapped as we stepped inside. The smile never left our faces as we greeted the guests who came to celebrate with us. One of the servers walked over and handed us a glass of champagne.
“To you, my beautiful wife.” Christian smiled as he held his glass to mine.
“To you, my handsome husband.” I tipped my glass to his.
It was time to take our seats at the bridal table for dinner. Servers made our plates and brought them to us before going around to each table and releasing our guests to the buffet.
“Damn, bro. You never cease to amaze me,” Stefan said as he ate. “This is really good.”
“Only the best for my family.” Sebastian grinned.
After we ate, Christian and I grabbed another glass of champagne and talked to some of my extended family who attended.
“Before we get this party started, can the bride and groom come to the dancefloor?” the DJ announced.
Christian grabbed my hand with a wide grin and led me to the dancefloor.
“I trusted you to surprise me with our wedding song.” I wrapped my arms around his neck. “Will you?”
“I don’t know. Will I?” A cocky grin crossed his face.
I looked up at the stage where the DJ was and noticed Conner, Jackson, and Nathan standing in front of microphones with their guitars plugged into an amplifier.
“What is happening?” I smiled.
“You’ll see, babe.” His lips gently brushed against mine.
Christian looked at his brothers and gave them a nod. Suddenly, they started strumming, You’re My Best Friend by Queen. Conner led by singing with his brothers as the backup.
“Oh, my God.” I laughed as Christian and I started dancing.
“Are you surprised?” Christian spun me around and pulled me into him.
“So surprised. I love you. You are my best friend.”
“And you’re mine.” He smiled.
When the song ended, his brothers walked over, and I gave them each a hug.
“You were incredible. Thank you for that.”
“You’re welcome, sweetheart.” Conner smiled as he grabbed my face and kissed my lips.
“When did you guys practice that?”
“We already knew how to play it, so much practice wasn’t required.” Jackson winked.
“You three are the best brothers I could ever ask for.” I hugged them again.
“So, now that we got that out of the way, is it time to cut the cake?” Conner asked.
Christian and I chuckled. “Let’s do it.” I smiled.
After we cut the cake, it was served to our guests. Christian and I walked over to where his cousins were standing by the bar.
