“Take all the time you need.” I smiled. “If you two will excuse me, I’m heading to bed.”

“Morning.” I smiled at Grayson as he stood staring out the sliding door, sipping his coffee.
“Good morning. I am going to get very used to this.” He grinned.
“Trust me. You’ll be used to it by tomorrow.”
“Did Christian already leave?” he asked as I made a cup of coffee.
“Yes. His pager went off at four thirty this morning, and he had to get to the hospital. One of his patients went downhill.”
“That’s too bad. I hope his patient is okay.”
“Me too. I have some time before I have to leave. Want to go sit on the patio for a bit?”
“I would love to.” He smiled as he opened the sliding door.
We took a seat in the loungers and took in the morning view.
“So, Dr. Grayson Kind, how many broken hearts did you leave behind in Boston?” A smirk crossed my lips.
He breathed out a laugh as he brought the cup to his lips. “Currently, just one.”
“Do tell, Dr.”
“I was seeing this woman for a while. It was nothing serious, and she knew I wasn’t looking for anything. It was casual, you know?” He glanced at me.
“Casual sex only?” My brow arched.
“Something like that.” He smiled. “With a few nice dinners thrown in.”
“How generous of you.” I smirked. “I take it she wanted more than just casual sex and a few nice dinners?”
“She did, and I told her that I was upfront with her when we started seeing each other. She didn’t want to hear that, so I stopped seeing her. She wouldn’t take no for an answer and started stalking me.”
“Oh shit, really?” I sipped my coffee.
“Yeah. She would show up at random times at the hospital when she knew I was there and hang around. A couple of times, she was waiting outside my apartment building when I’d come home in the middle of the night.”
“Wow.” My eyes widened. “What did you do?”
“Told her that she needed to stop and move on with her life.”
“Did she?” I asked.
“No. She would find out my work schedule and show up at the hospital with dinner. She even sent me apology flowers.”
“What was she apologizing for?” My brows furrowed.
“I have no idea. All the card said was, ‘I’m sorry.’ It was crazy, Charleigh. She was a total whack job. Finally, I told my brother that it was time to leave Boston and come here. It made sense. Our houses are almost finished and there really was no need for us to stay in Boston any longer.”
“Good morning.” Gabriel walked over with a smile on his face.
“Morning, bro.”
“Good morning, Dr. Kind.” The corners of my mouth curved upward. “Your brother was just telling me about his little psycho stalker back in Boston.”
