“Stop it! Are you really?” she asked both of them.

“Yep. Venice Beach is officially our home.” The corners of Gabriel’s mouth curved upward.

“Grayson is staying with us until his house is finished,” I said.

“Yay! Then I have to go and make sure the guestroom is ready,” she said.

“Please, Charleigh. Don’t go to any trouble. I’m sure it’s fine,” Grayson said.

“Don’t be silly,” she said.

I stood up from my chair. “I’ll go help you, babe. Where’s all your luggage?” I asked them.

“We put it on Jackson’s porch,” Grayson said.

“Let’s go get it.” Jackson stood from his chair with a smile.

CHAPTER16

Charleigh

“I can’t believe Grayson and Gabriel are here for good,” I said as we put the new sheets on the guest bed.

“I know, and I’m happy as hell.”

After we finished making up the bed, I quickly dusted the furniture.

“The TV works, right?” I asked.

“It should.” Christian grabbed the remote and turned it on. “Yep. All good.”

As we walked down the stairs, Grayson opened the sliding door and stepped inside.

“Noah is a really cute kid. I’m happy he was able to come home.”

“So are we,” I said. “It’s been tough on Sebastian and Emilia.”

“How are the wedding plans coming along?” Grayson asked.

“So far, pretty good.” I smiled.

“Aunt Barb introduced us to Curtis. Isn’t that the guy she was married to before she decided to run off with my dad?”

Christian breathed out a laugh. “Yeah. Apparently, Curtis has forgiven her, and they’re seeing each other again.”

“As long as she’s happy, all is good,” Grayson spoke.

“So, Dr. Kind.” I smiled. “What did your bosses say when you two quit to move here?”

“They weren’t happy about it, but they understood. Gabriel is going to the medical center tomorrow to set up his practice.”

“What about you?” Christian asked.

“I figured I’d take some time off and help my brother out, but I need to schedule a meeting with George to find out when I can start at Cedars.”

“It’ll be great having you there.” Christian smiled as he patted Grayson’s back.

“I’m not in any hurry. I want to take some time to get settled and enjoy the beach before I start working again.” The corners of his mouth curved upward. “We just got hit with a snowstorm in Boston, and the temperature is a nasty fifteen degrees. All I can say is that I’m happy I don’t have to deal with that shit anymore, and I wasn’t sad when the plane took off.”
