Right now the only thing he was roaming was Eleazar’s bed because any time Andrew moved, the nausea returned.
Sonny came into the room with a tray. “I brought you some soup and crackers.”
Andrew didn’t have an appetite, but the crackers sounded good. “Thanks.”
“Soup and crackers?” Eleazar looked puzzled.
Amon lingered just outside Andrew’s door, watching Sonny.
“It sometimes helps when your stomach is upset,” Sonny explained. He truly was a gem.
“I’ll just take the crackers.” Andrew grabbed the sleeve from the tray and sat up, though the room spun a little. Maybe he was coming down with the flu. It was summer, but it could happen.
Couldn’t it?
“Let me know if there’s anything else you need.” Sonny smiled at him, and for a second, it looked like the guy wanted to hug him, but he glanced at Eleazar then stood, clearing his throat. “I won’t be too far away, Andrew.”
As soon as Sonny left, so did Amon.
“Are you sure you don’t want the doctor?” Eleazar sat on the side of the bed. Then he pressed his hand to Andrew’s forehead.
“What’re you doing?” Andrew nibbled on a cracker, and was relieved when he started feeling a tad better.
“I’ve seen humans do this.”
Andrew smirked. “What exactly are you doing?”
Eleazar sighed. “I have no idea. I just saw it once and figured it was customary to touch a forehead when someone was ill.”
That made Andrew chuckle. “People do it to check for a fever. Is my forehead hot?”
“No.” Eleazar frowned.
“Then I don’t have a fever.” Andrew ate half the sleeve, amazed at how hungry he was. He grabbed the bowl of soup off the tray, chicken noodle, and devoured it.
Eleazar smiled. “I see your appetite is back.”
“And then some.” Andrew licked the saltiness from his lips. “I think I need Sonny.”
“Why?”
There were times when Eleazar’s naivety toward humans was adorable. He looked genuinely confused as to why Andrew would need him. “Because I need him to make me dinner.” Andrew frowned. “Since it’s so late, I guess it would be just a meal. God, this time change from day to night is screwing me up. Dinner was technically breakfast, I guess. So I’ll need lunch from him.”
“Do you need more soup?”
Andrew set the empty bowl on the tray. “Nah. I could go for some pasta.”
It was a sudden craving, like he had to have Italian or he might go crazy.
“I’ll let Sonny know.” Eleazar stood, as if to leave.
“And garlic bread,” Andrew quickly said. “A side salad, too, if it’s not too much trouble.”
Where on earth had his ferocious appetite come from? Andrew never ate this heavy, especially at night.
“And dessert.”
Eleazar stood there studying him. His dark gaze slid over Andrew, and the intensity made Andrew suddenly horny. He wanted to yank Eleazar down to the bed and suck the guy’s cock, but his hunger for food won out.
