Then he stopped and kept his face inches from hers "Do you really need to go back to work right now?"

She nodded, unable to speak.

"Well, I won't stop you. But I’ll be down there this afternoon. You owe me a hike." He turned and walked into his room and let the towel fall revealing his perfectly sculpted ass.

"You don't play fair," she said.

"See you in a couple hours," he said without looking back.

Making her way back to her office she passed the front desk.

"Hey Nancy, let me know when the plumber is finished."

"Will do. Are you sure you're feeling okay? You look flushed."

"I'm good," she said rounding the corner into her own office.

She managed to distract herself and get some work done. Around one her phone dinged.

Liam- I'm ready whenever you are.

Lexi- I'm going to get changed and we can head off.

Liam- Don't change until I get there

Lexi- See you in a few minutes.

She quickly shut and locked her office door then changed into the spare clothes she kept there. After helping dig a car out of the mud or other mishaps that had happened over the years, she learned it was best to keep spare casual clothes. As she was finishing slipping on her jeans, there was a soft knock at the door.

"Yes," Lexi called out.

A very excited Nancy whispered from the other side of the door "Liam James is down here to see you."

"Yep, I’ll be right out." She looked at herself in the small mirror that hung on her wall and smoothed her hair before grabbing the doorknob.

"Nancy, I am leading Mr. James on a hike to the falls and then I am going to show him around the town," she said as nonchalantly as possible.

"I could take him if you had work to do," said Nancy while smiling over at Liam, who was smiling right back at her.

"I can do it. I am also going to remind you that you are a happily married woman. You've been with Gus going on thirty-five years now."

"Yes, but I'm still human," she said, her eyes not leaving Liam.

"I think Lexi is going to help me scout out some spots for a video I’m hoping to film here. I appreciate your willingness to help though," he said with a smile.

"Of course," she said clearly flustered and then got back to work.

"Let's go," said Lexi. "I’m just going to drop this off in my car then we can head out."

"After you," he said, opening the door and following her out.

After dropping her stuff off they made their way to the start of the trail at the back of the property.

"So, what kind of hike are we talking about here?" he asked as they started down the wooded path.

"Not so much a hike as a leisurely walk," she said.

"Perfect, that will let me talk to you without the distraction of wanting to pull you into a bed and do what we did last night."
